If the Eagles lose for a third time to the Cowboys, they can't blame injuries.

Philadelphia released their official injury report Friday. 11 players are probable; that's it.

The probable squad: Jason Avant (knee), Reggie Brown (shoulder), Brent Celek (knee), Nick Cole (knee), Quintin Demps (ankle), Max Jean-Gilles (ankle), Winston Justice (ankle, knee), Jeremy Maclin (thumb, foot), Juqua Parker (ankle), Dimitri Patterson (knee), and Michael Vick (quadricep).

(And yeah, we know they could use Stewart Bradley and Jamaal Jackson. But they've had time to fix those holes.)
The team's backfield is as healthy as it has been all season. On offense, we completely agree with this piece by Rich Hoffman: How the team uses Brian Westbrook, LeSean McCoy, and Michael Vick on Saturday will be telling.

Birds As Ready As They'll Ever Be

The Eagles wrapped up formal preparations for Saturday's Wild Card round playoff visit to Dallas, a short week in which the challenges were obvious, after Sunday's 24-0 loss to the Cowboys.

"We've gone back and we've analyzed the mistakes we made, and the players have worked hard on correcting them, as have the coaches," Andy Reid said Thursday. "They've been upbeat. These are competitive guys. They don't like what took place last week and so they get back to business and try to right the wrong. That's how they approach it."

Reid got a little testy when a questioner implied that running the ball might keep the Cowboys' offense off the field (and give the Eagles' offense some rhythm).

"You have to do what you think is best to score," he said. "You try any way you possibly can after you've done the studying on that. It's not basketball where you can go into a four-corner stall or that type of thing. That doesn't work in football ... We're going to be who we are and do what we do, and the same (will be true) on both sides of the ball, and special teams."

DeSean Jackson again practiced; Reid said he should not be bothered by the groin tweak he suffered Sunday.

Of course, Reid was asked about Spitgate, the controversy started by Eagles Web site czar Dave Spadaro, who posted a video of himself spitting on the Cowboys star in the middle of the Cowboys Stadium field. The organization apparently plans no comment beyond the apology Spadaro posted last night.

"I don't know," Reid said "I didn't even know about it until I walked in this door. I'm focused on the Cowboys right now."
