Toronto Raptors (19-20) at New York Knicks (16-22), 8 p.m.

Atlantic Division rivals meet in historic Madison Square Garden Friday when the Toronto Raptors visit the New York Knicks.

The Raptors, who lead the Knicks by 2 1/2 games for second place in the division, dropped the opener of a brief two-game road trip in Indianapolis on Monday when Danny Granger finished with 23 points, as the Indiana Pacers overcame a big deficit to top Toronto, 105-101, at Conseco Fieldhouse.

Toronto's lead reached 23 in the second quarter, but the Pacers closed the half strong and were within 13 at the break. The Raptors then shot only 20.6 percent in the second half, making just seven field goals, allowing Indiana to overtake the lead to snap a two-game slide.

Chris Bosh had 27 points and 10 boards to record his NBA-best 28th double- double of the season, but Toronto lost its second straight after winning eight of the previous nine. Andrea Bargnani had 17 rebounds and 12 points in the loss.

"[The] Pacers are a high-powered offensive team," said Toronto guard Jarrett Jack. "We knew they were capable of making a comeback like that. The next time we play them we just have to know that we have to do a better job of locking down on them and the game is not over until the final buzzer goes off."

The Knicks, meanwhile, are coming off an exciting win in Philadelphia on Wednesday.

David Lee had a game-high 24 points and got the game-winning layup to drop with 14.9 seconds left in that one, as New York took a 93-92 decision from the 76ers at the Wachovia Center.

Wilson Chandler added 18 points and Al Harrington had 17 points and seven rebounds for New York, which salvaged a win out of its three-game road trip. Jared Jeffries checked in with 15 points and nine boards.

The Knicks had dropped nine straight in Philadelphia, earning a road win against the 76ers for the first time since an overtime triumph on December 17, 2004.

Marreese Speights hit a jumper to put the Sixers in front with 26.9 seconds left, but Lee came back with his game-winning bucket. That left Philadelphia with a chance to tie or win the game on the last possession, but Rodney Carney's shot from deep on the right wing was off the mark.

"We got a little lucky that he (Carney) missed a shot at the end but I thought our guys played extremely hard, worked the zone well and David Lee hit some big shots down the stretch," said Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni.

The Raptors have taken four of their past six meetings with the Knicks.

Oklahoma Thunder (21-17) at Dallas Mavericks (25-13), 8:30 p.m.

- The Southwest Division-leading Dallas Mavericks hope to salvage the finale of a three-game homestand Friday when they host the improved Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Mavericks fell to 0-2 on the residency Wednesday with a 100-95 loss to the defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers.

Andrew Bynum posted 22 points and 11 rebounds in that one as the Lakers became the first NBA team to record 3,000 wins with a 100-95 win.

Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki had 30 points -- 15 in the fourth quarter -- and surpassed 20,000 points for his career. He is the 19th fastest player to reach the total and now has 20,014 after Wednesday's contest. He also added a season-best 16 rebounds.

"(Nowitzki would) rather have the win than 20,000 points," said Mavs head coach Rick Carlisle. "That's where the disappointment is. You get a guy who is pure basketball heart. He'd do anything to win any ball game and he wouldn't care how many points he scored. That's what really makes him special along with the other things you guys have seen on a daily basis for over a decade."

Josh Howard had 18 points for the Mavericks, who have lost eight of their last nine games against the Lakers. Jason Kidd had 11 points and 11 assists in defeat.

The Thunder, meanwhile, are coming off a tough overtime loss to San Antonio on Wednesday. Richard Jefferson came up with a big block and hit the game-winning basket with 9.1 seconds left in the extra frame as the Spurs, who trail Dallas by just one-half game in the Southwest, pulled out an exciting 109-108 victory over Oklahoma City.

Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook netted 35 and 25 points, respectively, for the Thunder, who had won eight of 10 coming into the game. Westbrook also handed out 13 assists but missed a potential game-winner at the buzzer, while Jeff Green ended with 16 points and 10 rebounds in a losing effort.

Down 108-106, the Spurs' Antonio McDyess had a chance to tie the game but made just 1-of-2 free throws with 56.2 seconds showing in overtime. A double team on Durant resulted in Thabo Sefolosha tossing up a shot that Jefferson got a piece of to give the Spurs the ball back.

Manu Ginobili then drove to the hoop but lost the ball before making a diving save. With the shot clock nearly at zero, Jefferson made his way into the lane and hit the go-ahead bucket with 9.1 seconds remaining.

Westbrook couldn't free himself up on his try from the right wing, hitting all iron as the Thunder fell just short.

"We had a great look. I thought Russell's shot was good. I'm proud of him for taking that shot. It looked good but it didn't fall," Durant said.

Dallas has dominated this series recently taking 16 of its past 18 meetings with the Oklahoma City franchise.

Miami Heat (19-18) at Houston Rockets (22-17), 8:30 p.m.

The Miami Heat will continue a six-game western road trip Friday against the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center.

Miami evened its mark on the trek at 2-2 and ended a two-game slide with a 115-102 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday in Oakland, as Dwyane Wade shook off a wrist injury to record 35 points, nine assists and seven rebounds for Miami, which is 8-8 away from south Florida this season.

Jermaine O'Neal and Michael Beasley chipped in 24 and 19 points, respectively, in the win for the Heat.

"I'm looking for consistency with this group," Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said. "It's good to get this win, but let's move on."

The Heat will close out the road swing at Oklahoma City on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Rockets will continue their three-game homestand this evening and opened the residency with Wednesday's exciting 120-114 triple-overtime victory versus the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Aaron Brooks poured in a career-high 43 points and Trevor Ariza totaled 19 points, seven assists and seven rebounds for Houston, which has won eight in a row as the host and improved to 12-4 at the Toyota Center this season. Brooks is averaging 25.0 points in the last eight games, while Carl Landry added 16 points in a winning effort.

"This one would have been a shame to lose," said Rockets forward Shane Battier, who ended with 14 points and 12 boards. "We played well early on...they hit a fantastic shot to force overtime. If we would have lost this game, this one really would have hurt."

The Rockets will also welcome the Milwaukee Bucks to town on the current homestand, and have won two of three games overall.

Houston won both meetings with Miami a season ago and is unbeaten in the past three meetings between the teams. The Heat have dropped three in a row at Houston.

Milwaukee Bucks (15-21) at Golden State Warriors (11-26), 10:30 p.m.

Milwaukee Bucks (15-21) at Golden State Warriors (11-26), 10:30 p.m.

Something has to give for the Milwaukee Bucks on their current six-game road trip, as they pay a visit to the Golden State Warriors tonight at ORACLE Arena.

Milwaukee has lost the first three contests of its road swing and is coming off Wednesday's 120-108 loss at Portland. Ersan Ilyasova tied a career-high with 24 points and also grabbed five rebounds for the Bucks, whose three-game slide comes on the heels of a three-game winning streak.

"They were just in a different gear than us for most of the night. They were quicker, more athletic, and drove by us pretty much at will," Bucks head coach Scott Skiles said of the Trail Blazers.

Jodie Meeks added 21 points off the bench, while Charlie Bell, Brandon Jennings and Luke Ridnour each had 12 points in defeat. The Bucks are only 4-14 away from the Bradley Center this season and will also visit Utah and Houston on the current road trip.

Golden State will resume a seven-game homestand Friday and fell to 1-2 on the residency following Wednesday's 115-102 loss versus the Miami Heat.

Corey Maggette ended with 25 points and Anthony Morrow scored 24 for the Warriors, who have dropped two straight and five of seven overall. Golden State is 7-9 in Oakland this season and will also host the Bulls, Nuggets and Nets on the homestand.

"That was an incredible performance with a bad wrist," Warriors coach Don Nelson said of Heat star Dwayne Wade, who scored 35 points with a balky wrist. "He played hurt. Thirty-five minutes, 35 points. He also controlled the game and had nine assists. He was incredible."

On the injury front for the Warriors, forward Vladimir Radmanovic (Achilles), center Ronny Turiaf (ankle) and guard C.J. Watson (hand/finger) are all listed as doubtful for Friday's game against Milwaukee.

Milwaukee defeated Golden State, 129-125, back on November 14 in Wisconsin and has won two straight and five of the past eight meetings between the teams.

The Bucks, however, are winless in their last two trips to Oakland.

Los Angeles Clippers (17-20) at Los Angeles Lakers (30-9), 10:30 p.m.

The Los Angeles Lakers hope a healthy Kobe Bryant and the possible return of Pau Gasol can keep them in the win column tonight, when they host their Staples Center co-tenants, the LA Clippers.

Bryant is hampered with a back ailment and a broken right index finger on his shooting hand, and scored just 10 points on 5-of-11 shooting in Wednesday's 100-95 road victory over the Dallas Mavericks. Andre Bynum posted 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Pacific Division-leading Lakers, who have won two of three games since a two-game slide.

"Tempo was very good, we controlled that," said Lakers head coach Phil Jackson. "(The Mavericks) pushed it a little bit in the third quarter, and I thought they were going to try and speed the game up, but we were able to match up."

Lamar Odom registered 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Ron Artest finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds in a winning effort. Los Angeles was able to avoid its fifth straight road loss and will also host the Orlando Magic on its current homestand. The defending champion Lakers are 21-3 as the host and hope to get Gasol back Friday after he missed his sixth straight game with a strained left hamstring. Both Gasol and Bryant are probable for tonight.

Meanwhile, the Clippers will wrap up a three-game road trip Friday and have lost six straight as the visitor. In a 108-94 setback at New Orleans on Wednesday, Baron Davis contributed 19 points and six assists for the Clippers, who fell to 5-12 as the guest this season and have dropped two in a row since a season-high four-game winning streak.

"Tonight we just didn't have a good game," Clippers head coach Mike Dunleavy said. "We couldn't make outside shots and we were going for too many layups like we should have been. Making shots energizes players and we didn't get enough energy tonight."

Eric Gordon netted 11 points and Marcus Camby ended with a game-best 20 rebounds to go along with six points in a losing cause. Clippers big man Chris Kaman is nursing a sore back and has missed the past two games. Kaman, who is averaging 20.4 points and 9.4 rebounds this season, is listed as questionable for this evening's contest. The latest injury news for the Clips comes on the heels of learning that No. 1 overall pick Blake Griffin will be lost for the season with a broken kneecap.

The 2009-10 season series between the Lakers and Clippers is tied at a game apiece, but the defending champs have won 12 of the past 15 matchups between the Hollywood inhabitants.

Orlando Magic (26-13) at Portland Trail Blazers (24-16), 10:30 p.m.

Orlando Magic (26-13) at Portland Trail Blazers (24-16), 10:30 p.m.

The Orlando Magic will resume a four-game western road trip tonight, when they take on the Portland Trail Blazers from the Rose Garden.

Orlando had a brief two-game winning streak stopped and evened its mark on the trek at 1-1 following Wednesday's 115-97 loss against the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center. Matt Barnes led the Southeast Division-leading Magic with 28 points and nine rebounds, while J.J. Redick finished with 13 points in defeat.

"Well our turnovers were awful and we couldn't play their post-ups, and that I'll take the blame for. Double teams they scored every time, when we didn't double they scored every time and we just turned the ball over, we couldn't find any offense to run that was any good," Magic coach Stan Van Gundy said.

Mickael Pietrus had 12 points and Dwight Howard ended with eight and a game- high 13 boards for Orlando, which played without veteran guard Vince Carter for a third consecutive game because of a shoulder injury. He is listed as questionable for Friday.

The Magic, who are just a half-game ahead of Atlanta in the division standings, own a 12-9 road record this season and will close out the current trek against the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers on Monday. The Lakers beat Orlando in five games in last year's NBA Finals.

Portland will wrap up a five-game homestand Friday and is 2-2 on the residency after handing Milwaukee a 120-108 setback on Wednesday. Brandon Roy had 22 points and four assists for the Blazers, who improved to 15-7 at home and sit 1 1/2 games behind Denver for the top spot in the Northwest Division.

"We're just coming out and I think we are playing with a lot of energy," Roy said on the team's site. "Tonight, it was great to have Rudy (Fernandez) back out there, giving us a little depth. I looked out there at one point and we had a full second lineup out there. That's been the biggest difference in putting teams away, now we have some depth where guys don't have to play so many minutes."

LaMarcus Aldridge added 21 points, seven rebounds and six assists, while Andre Miller chipped in 19 points and six assists in a winning effort. Fernandez had two points in just over 15 minutes and was on the floor for the first time since early December.

Orlando has won two straight and six of seven meetings with Portland, including a 92-83 victory on December 19 at Amway Arena. The Magic are unbeaten in their last three trips to the Rose Garden.
