Law abiding citizens can carry in their autos here in Ohio without a permit...as long as the weapon and the ammo are seperated.

We have a lot of the same prohibited areas that you show except....we can't carry in any FEDERAL FACILITY or bar. As a mattter of fact you're in violation of the law here if you drink ANYWHERE and handle firearms

I'm gonna go get the permit just for the hell of it. Just to see what the process is.

I read more from the Indiana State Police website and you have to start the process at your local police department or sherrif's office.

You do the application there, the fingerprinting there and they send it to the ISP with their reccomendation that you can have one. Then, it appears that it's only paperwork from there

.........................................................

when they ask you for the reason you want the permit, of course self protection.

but also say that you carry large amounts of money to the bank at times.

for some reason that counts with them as a legit reason.

On the course!
............................................................

back then doors on cars didnt auto lock and I wasnt really expecting some crazy to open the door and try to choke me out.

glad I survived it too.

more glad I didnt have to kill the guy.

I am sure he ended up in not a good place.

Lemme get this straight:

You have to have a gun for self defense. I mean, the threat is so possible that you have to carry a gun, but locking your car doors as a matter of habit doesn't come into play?

I think most people find locking car doors as a first line of defense in self preservation when out and about. Packing heat moves a tad south on the scale.

I believe that a small amount of people have very valid reasons for having concealed weapons. I believe far more of them enjoy a "coolness" factor, or the machismo they feel they get with it. Or, ultimately, getting a chance to kill someone, and get a free pass for doing it. Much like hunters who claim they hunt for food, or to keep the balance of nature in order, instead of admiting they like to kill shit.
