Where it is real F ing COLD
Passing Game - Edge Saints.. Decent edge but the VIkes can move it to..

Running Game- Edge Vikings. I still DO NOT understand why Childress will not run behind the left side of that line..

Defense vs. Pass - Edge Saints.. They cause more turnovers.. And allowing Sharper to roam has really helped his game. Minnesota did not allow him to do that.. Plus Winfield down..

Defense vs Run - Edge VIkings.. Won't matter when New Orleans has the ball.. They won't be running too much..

Special Teams -- EVEN.. VIkings have a good kicker, and punter with good Coverage.. Saints Kicker not the best but they do have Reggie Bush.

Coaching- I really don't know much about the Saints coaching but you have to give them the edge because I still think Chile is an IDIOT... He does have Favre as O coordinator and Frasier is a good D cooordinator.

Intangables-- EDGE Saints.. Super Dome and the 12th man..

Keys... I will just focus on the VIking's keys.. RUN, RUN, RUN.. Please try it over the left side of the line you moron.. They will need a combined 150 yards on the ground to win this one. The Vikes WILL have to play mistake free ball and force a turnover or 2.. Most likely a fumble.. Keep the Saints receivers in front of you and get pressure, pressure, pressure.. On paper the VIkings secondary should be in for a long game. Special teams was outstanding vs. Dallas and more of the same is needed this week. I know it is a tall order for the Vikes to overcome this one but they do have #4 and playmakers on both offense and defense.. I remember 98 season when the VIkings were expected to win and lost. Hopefully this will be the case again this year for New Orleans.. Here is to hoping the VIkings make it to Miami..

Obviously the Saints will be airing it out plenty but I see more runs then some may think.
Time will tell!!
Gotta free up some space for that play action, as most fans, the BIG BOYS on vikes OL are not going to be expecting much running and I am seeing some surprises Sunday!!!
Bush is on fire, hopefully he plays the same, could be a difference maker in the game. Not just on the run and ST's but the short pass and shovel. He breaks a few of those watch out!!
Pierre will be Pierre and he will get his share too. Have to hope he breaks a few for first downs too.
Wideouts will be very active and hoping Shockey is taking care of his issues right now too...definately need him up the middle.
Going to be a hell of game but home field will be the difference here. Saints wind up covering this easy in the end and we'll be hearing Will Smith singing "WELCOME TO MIAMI" in the dressing room not long after..........I am sure Drew will notn be singing PANTS ON THE GROUND as the purple were last week :mj07:

No need to break down X's & O's, the league & networks want Farve in the BIG GAME. They want the ratings, story and the hype.

You might as well open the vent thread now!

The biggest problem the Saints had down the stretch was containing the opposition edge rush. Arizona's defense really struggles in that department. Minny....not so much. Allen and Edwards (if healthy) should dominate in this one.

The Saints are a great story, but I really like the Vike's due to their advantage on both sides at the LOS.

The Upstate
Look at rushing attempts and yards in Saints 3 losses;

Panthers: 37-178

Bucs: 34-176

Cowboys: 36-145

Run AP and Taylor all day to beat the Saints.:director:

Teams that did not run well vs Saints (the few that did not run well vs Saints) were normally playing from behind. The Saints rush D is soft, and when Ellis is hurt it is poor at best.

Minn advantage on both lines is the key here imo, which is why I am starting to wonder about the opening line of Saints -4. I would have expected the opening line at -2 or -2.5, as I give Min nthe edge at neutral site......

Breaking it down, I give the edge to Minn, which is why I played on the Vikes, but that opening line has me thinking the Saints have a shot:shrug:

Last week I said Zona backup would be in by 4th quarter......my bad....I was wrong.....what was it .....the 2nd quarter or start of the 3rd......
Yes I know he came back seeing stars and never did much for Zona in his return......
I also said several times throughout the week Saints would win by 10 plus pts........
Now I definately cannot say with much confidence Brett will be removed from the game as that will probably bring a full fledged fist fight on the sidelines with Childress but I will say AGAIN....
SAINTS roll through this game by 10pts plus @ home.

SAINTS INDY , welcome to MIAMI! :director:

SAINTS D has now shown too too much over recent weeks........but WATCH THEM SUNDAY

Lol, Brett will be removed from this game???
Have you been watching football for the last 20 years??? Thats just not gonna happen no matter how much he gets hit. Brett is the master of avoiding the big hit.

Vikings run game will set up some big passing plays. Favre will make sharper look foolish once again just as he did when he was with green bay and sharper was with minny. Favre knows his weaknesses.

Vikings 31-24
Time of possession will be about 40 min to 20min

NEVER BET AGAINST BRETT FAVRE :toast:

THE WILLIAMS BOYS WERE UNREAL -THE PUSH UP THE MIDDLE ALLOWED ALLEN AND EDWARDS TO DOMINATE- IF THEY DO THIS AGAIN THE RBS AND TE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO PLAY BIG FOR NO- ON THE SHORT PLAYS- LAST WEEK ZONA HAD TO ABANDON THE RUNNING GAME - IN THE SECOND QUARTER- IF THE VIKINGS CAN GET THE LEAD AND STICK TO POUNDING THE BALL -WITH ALOT OF SHORT PASSES AND PUT PRESSURE ON BREES -VIKINGS COULD DOMINATE- BUT IF THEY DONT AND GET DOWN AND THIS BECOMES APASS HAPPY GAME-AND NO IS ABLE TO KEEP BREES ON HIS FEET NO WINS BIG

First off.. I think the line of 4 is about dead on. Saints have "BIG" homefield adavantage in that dome.. Just like the Purple do when they are playing home. I could see the Saints winning this by 10 but I could also see the reverse.. I have read some comparisons with Arizona.. I know the VIkings got their ass kicked by Zona but the Saints will be seeing a team that can do it all.. Run, pass, put pressure on the QB and play good defense.. Dallas went into New Orleans and showed what a good pass rush can do. VIkes MUST do the same and I do agree that Reggie Bush could be a big factor but I don't think it will be running but more of catching passes out of the backfield.. Saints maybe able to suprise the Vikes with a few good runs because the Vikes should be playing pass first.

ONE other big key is the obvious.. Can't fall too far behind early.. Keep this game close by half and put some doubt in the Saints minds. If the Vikes score first then this will be a DOGFIGHT to the end..

Have not seen booo of him since probably what....half time of the Girls game lmfaoo!!

Hey, SAINTS are my team!!!
I do believe its going to be very close to start with...but like you said....if the VIKES score first I believe it can be alot closer....that said.....IF SAINTS light up the board off the hop, and STOP the VIKES off the hop their game plan changes bigtime IMO!!
SAINTS have gotta get pressure on Favruh FAST and OFTEN!!

GL I CANT WAIT!!
And at least we'll know the outcome of the other before we even kickoff!!!
Not that we dont already know the outcome of the other :mj07:
