I dont understand all the doubters who dont think the jets are for real. They have a great defense a great running game havent been blown out all year are always in the game. They are confident and match up very well vs the colts who are a fast defense but can be run on straight thru with quick line bursts.Yes manning can be awesome but he can be beaten and to give a touchdown to this jets team i think is asking for a whole lot.Yes im a homer and made a nice bundle last week vs san diego and i think the jets can win this game and certainly have a great chance to cover the spread.Sanchez i think has finally "got it"in that he doesnt have to win the game by himself.Yeah all the rex ryan haters are out but thats expected but you cant argue with sucess.I know quite a few cappers have been against the jets the first 2 playoff games especially the bengals and now it looks like everyone is jumping on the peyton bandwagon.again the jets match up very well vs the colts and should be able to score.I realize theres the manning factor and he is great and could be the deciding factor in the end but i see a close game here and getting 7 points looks good to me.Ill be betting and rooting for the jets here and expect a very tough game. The big key for the jets is to stop dallas clark and if they can limit his catches they can win.The colts have a solid D but the jets O line can push them off the line and keep moving those chains.should be an exciting game either way.

They will all believe when the Jets are holding Super Bowl rings.....Same type of team as the Ravens a few years back, just don't make a mistake and let the D take you there.

my take for what it's worth..:scared

ya got a 9-7 team that has peaked at the right time..suffered through a stretch where they lost 6 out of 7 and had 2 cases of losing 3 games in a row...now their great:nono: ..better yes..improved..yes....capable of keeping it close vs Colts..yes..sure they are if they play perfect for 60 min.'s...team hasn't shown they can fall down 14 and expect to come back and win..hell..this team struggled to get a first down for a hour at the start of the SD game..

Now I'm supposed to believe they are world beaters..a special story..no doubt..take a QB who ya can't trust to throw it down and field and convert him to a take orders and hand the ball off..avoid loses like the 6 out of 7 stretch durning the regular season..damn right it's a good job of coaching and an even better job of execution of that vanilla "O" by a QB who understood his limitations as a rookie in the NFL[that or the guy who had 12 TD'S and 20 INT's]
..but keep in mind...this "D" isn't the Ravens of lore ...don't confuse this Jets ''D" with that Ravens "D"...This Jets "D" gave up 298 yards of passing their last game..Long away from that Raven "D" that actually wons games...not just kept them close.

good luck with the plays ..I like to see everybody collect..but Vegas ain't keeping the lights on in the sportsbook and the off shore boys don't get cuban cigars that way

real good point..

considering that Rivers threw for 298 yards vs the Jets and Gates had 8 catches for 93 yards.

what I don't understand is how does that fact that Jackson had 7 catches as well for 111 yards..

also lost in all this breakdown is the fact that S.D. amassed 344 yards of total offense..

oh yea ..their kicker butchered 3 FG attempts.

fellas hope ya do well..I'm Joe Fan for this game....we shall see where is leads..I do know it starts at Lucas Oil Stadium that has a roof..

One things the Jets don't have that Indy has...PEYTON MANNING! Sorry...Colts win this game! Jets will be in it..no doubt, but I don't see Indy "giving" the game away like SD did. If Jets make it to the Super Bowl my hats off to them big time and I'll take my defeat. GL!

I don't hate the Jets...just don't think they win.

while we are breaking it down

from previous game vs Jets

Manning was 14 of 21 for 192 yards, playing long enough to join Brett Favre(notes), Dan Marino and John Elway as the only members of the 50,000-yard club.

The first-year coach pulled Manning & Co. with a 15-10 lead and 5:36 left in the third quarter

7 different receivers caught passes for the Colts in that game.

Pierre Garcon didn't suit up..:scared

Every game is so differant in the NFL. Thats why it makes it so hard to know wtf is going to happen.

I would be willing to bet that the Jets will get alot more first downs in the hour than last week.

The Colts are soft up the middle. Jets runners run off tackle for touchdowns.

Tankity tank tank

Tankity tank tank

I dont really give a chit who wins as long as the Jets cover 10 1/2 points

GO JETS !:00hour

I really do respect your take. I think the the Jets played more tough games in their own division than the Colts have all year.

I'm not sure I'd qualify last week's win

A critical analysis is subjective writing because it expresses the writer's opinion or evaluation of a text. Analysis means to break down and study the parts. Writing a critical paper requires two steps: critical reading and critical writing.

thanks for your attempt..

I don't hate the Jets, I just can't back a team that got into the playoff's at 9-7 that basically had the last two games of the season served up to them and won weeks 12, 13, 14 vs 3 teams that finished a combined 17-31 on the season.

8-8 CAR

6-10 BUF

3-13 TB

and then lost @ HOME in week 15 , 7-10 to an ATL team that finishes 9-7 also, but did not get a wild card.

This is a good team, that has improved, with a good defense, however this JETS team was 4-6 after week eleven and lost both games to the Dolphins.

IF I were the Colts I would be looking real hard at the two MIA games and the 31- 14 loss the NE Pats put on the Jets with Welker and Brady playing and Sanchez giving up 4 picks

I don't hate them, I am just still having a hard time giving them Conference Championship respect, and you can bet the COLTS won't be sleep walking and kicking challenge FLAGS instead of Field Goals, or practicing for the HEAD BUTT competition of the redneck olympics. (PS I am part redneck before anyone takes offense to that :142smilie )

I like the Colts - 6 for a huge 12 % of BR bet, and might consider the Jets at + 10.5 for a 4-5% of BR middle op/hedge, but not a point less and only if I don't have to pay more than -130:)

Being from the AFC east im rooting for the NYJ.Will they win probably not.But you can not hide the fact that teams in the past who made it have been surprises.Look at last years Cardinals.

Look at the year the NYG won it all.The odds are stacked against(and have been)them, but you have to give them credit. If Ryan keeps them focused and they don't have a letdown they have a legitimate chance to play competitive and have at least a chance to pull the upset.Thats all you can ask.

Oh yeah don't forget the Pats of 2001 .Sorry I couldn't resist!

Some Raider fans might say, Brady paid the ref's before the game for some "home cooking" ......Do u honestly think that play was legit:shrug: ......

Jets can hang close but won't win.....

I have a hard time believing Colts lose 2 times @ home to the same team in under a month....

I also think NYJ is fortunate that Kaeding had NYJ Money line:mj07: .....I mean what a total collapse by the best kicker reg season in the playoffs...As far as I'm concerned S.D had NYJ beat... If Kaeding nails a couple of routine FG's S.D wins....Rivers tore up the NYJ Def...What will Manning do with his team ready and @ full strength this time(no Garcon 1st matchup) :00hour ...

I also have a little conspiracy theory......
It was a nice little push for the Jets , but the NFL wants Manning in the SB...Not R.Ryan and his boring style of football representing the AFC.... I'll even say Manning in Co. get the "Home cooking" calls...In the end the NFL is "big business" and Ratings....Manning is a fan favorite and who else better to be the face of this year's SB...

I'm on a tease of Indy-0.5 Under 47

and Under 40.5.....

Gl fellas

The tuck rule is a rule in American football, currently used only by the National Football League (NFL).

Ordinarily, if the quarterback drops or loses the football while he is bringing the ball forward in a passing motion, and the ball touches the ground, it is considered an incomplete pass. If the quarterback drops or loses the football at any other time, it is considered a fumble, as if any other player had dropped it.

The tuck rule is an exception to this rule. It applies if the quarterback brings his arm forward in a passing motion, but then changes his mind and tries to keep hold of the football rather than making a pass. In this situation, if the quarterback loses the ball while stopping his passing motion or bringing the ball back to his body, it is still considered a forward pass (and thus an incomplete pass if the ball hits the ground).[1] Mike Pereira, the NFL's director of officiating, notes that the design of the rule obviates the need to consider the quarterback's intent.[2], though this seems to be incorrect, since the rule states that "When a Team A player is holding the ball to pass it forward, any intentional forward movement of his hand starts a forward pass", thus meaning that the referee must judge whether the forward movement of the arm was intentional on the part of the player or not. However, the rule does mean the referee need not judge whether the player was intending to check his throw.

The rule is not without its critics. Former Washington Redskins head coach Joe Gibbs said, "It makes no sense to me. It's the way it's worded. I think everybody probably sees that and says it's a bad rule."[2]

Would be a feel good story if they beat Indy seeing the Colts were the team they beat to win SB#3.

This is hard for me to say being from a NE town, but there fans deserve a championship.Plus David vs Goliath. How can you not be pulling for the Jets if your not wagering on INDY.

I have said this before the "Fans" need to go to a Rah Rah my teams the best forum site.. This is a handicapping site where people are supposed to be helping each cap the game. Your money should be on the side you think will win or cover. I look at some of these saints posts and laugh. Dont bet agame or team because you like the story or hate the other team. This should have nothing to do with hating Manning or being a Jets fan its about MONEY and if its not you should be on a cbs sports line fan forum.

With a Bills avatar, i guess i understand your point? I would hope that people in this forum would not bet on a side because they hate another team or just because they want to Rah Rah there own team? I may be a Saints fan, So what? I also cap my games with selective reasoning, not just because I am a Saints Fan. I have bet against them especially the last half of the season. As a Saints fan, and a handicapper on this forum :fingerc:
