OVER 56.5 $550/$500 may push it up later..

A high total but you would have to believe that both teams hit 28 and possibly the 30s and the winner possibly in the 40s.. I have no reason to think that either offenses will be stopped.

The Saints defense is not all spectacular.. Their blitzing style will get scorched against Manning which leads me to believe that they may play coverage.. It won't matter that defense gets dissected anyway.. Plus the Colts will not turn the ball over like the Vikes. They shredded a good NYJ defense and they should be laughing at the Saints defense.

The Colts defense is not that great either.. I know their regular season numbers were decent but I am not giving them much credit for their defensive play against the one dimensional -- running offenses whom they have seen in the playoffs.. They have not seen an offense like this all year and that secondary can be exposed by the Saints.. The Jets left points on the board but I don't think the Saints will make the BIG mistake..

Also, both teams run defenses are not that impressive either.. With both teams playing pass I expect teams to be in short yardage situations for most of the game.. One bad thing about this is that if one team does dominate running the ball, then maybe you might see more running which will make the clock tick.. I am not buying it..

Expect a SHOOTOUT.. COLTS 38 SAINTS 34 or so..

Good luck BP, but I think I'm in the minority gonig wtih the under. Couple things, and probably more just gut feelings, but I think Indy will run the ball more than minny tried. I feel indy knows their secondary is suspect given how Sanchez carved em up they'd prefer to win the time of possession battle and keep the Aints O off the field.

Secondly, I thnk the over is the easy pick, like too easy pick, after both conference games going over and two big passers on teams with not so great secondary's, everyone is thinking over. It'll be interesting to see what the late money brings. last week all the talk was Indy/Jets under, then the last few days it started to creep up.

Maybe I'm wrong and with how this CFB and NFL wagering season has gone for me, chances are I am wrong. Mainly being a contrarian and going against what everyone seems to be saying.

Sanchez did not carve up the Colts. Were we watching the same game? Here are his totals:

17/30 for 257

80 of it came on 1 trick play.

so 16/29 for 177

since when is 177 pass yards good enough to be considered carving up a defense?

And if he was "carving" up the colts then why didn't rex ryan let him throw the ball at the end of the 1st half? he had 1:06 left and was on the 10yd line? just a thought

I here ya. It does look to easy and the Colts often times will use that short passing game to nickel and dime you and eat the clock../ That does scare me.. But I see the Saints D pressing up and taking their chances with deeper coverage with the safeties.. Mannning will hit some BIG plays in this one.. I do know that 56.5 is a TON of points.. Some very good cappers on this site are going with the UNDER but I just don't see it.. Especially if NO scores first.. Another intresting point that YYZ made in another thread was about teams may be more conservative once in the red zone to secure points in the big game. I understand the concept but the mindset of each team should be to match them TD for TD.. Plus these FG kickers are not the best.. (Another Under Spec)

Like I always say.. What the hell do I know?

good point bej, I've gone and thunk myself into many losers over the year. I was on both unders last Sunday so staying the course, cause the kiss of death to me would be switching to the over with everyone else on the titantic and health care reform...only to come up .5 point short at which point I detach my direct tv dish and start panning for gold. GLTA bej.
