NIU PK over OU

Coleman still out and Washington and Kinney may not go as well. Washington was suspended last weekend and Kinney threw a punch and was ejected.Like the play without regard, but love it if they are out. I will attempt to dig up more on this but have found nothing solid yet.

The over has some appeal as well and I'm still looking at that. Western +1' looks good also as the Zips have lacked the toughness needed to rack up road W's. The NIU play is the only ticket punched as of now.

Went with the Western play bought the hook up. Western is tough at home and has played a tougher schedule so their record is a bit deceiving. Akron is the better side but again has lacked the courage on the road. The Zips have given up two huge runs in their last two away. I think Western is a bargain at this number and really think that they should be favored.

Western Mich +2 (-120)

As far as the OU situation both Washington and Kinney are not expected to play from the information that I have obtained. These sources are not confirmed so do not consider this news as the official word but I do have enough faith in both sources to expect neither to lace 'em up tonight. If I hear anything to the contrary I will post that info.

Any news on why No. Ill. has gone from a 1 pt. fav. to a 2 pt. dog?

None at all, makes me wonder if groce appealed kinney's suspension?? I won't know for sure until just before tip. The conference did not issue any press on this at all. I still like NIU but this could be a long night. the Zips are playing really well and western can't buy one.

Western -1'
Western over 72

They are getting good looks, they just didn't drop in the first half. Pace is very good.

I really think the problem is the East is far superior to the West side of the conference this year...

It's been like that for a few years now but it's still a task to get out of town in K'Zoo with a W. I might get bit twice tonight based on the same situation. OU's guards are playing very well and it looks like the Northern game will go down to the wire.

I bought the Western webcast tonight and was very impressed with Akron's effort. It was very much a Dambrot style win with very solid defense and terrific 3pt shooting. Akron stood their ground well and Western never made a serious run. The Zips grew up a bit tonight and if they can continue forward with efforts like this they will be very hard to beat. They have now played through the toughest part of the schedule so it should be pretty smooth sailing from here on out. I'm glad to see it even though it cost me some cheese tonight.

It was a really crappy night as neither was even close. Northern just packed it in the last 10 minutes after going neck and neck with OU. Managed to hit one of the 2H plays to avoid the skunk and go 1-3.

The record falls to 96-69 :sadwave:
