I have so many questions every time I watch football and basketball. I try to give players and coaches the benefit of the doubt and know they aren't perfect and neither am I and its tough to make some decisions in the heat of the moment, etc.
But yeah, all I know about Cincy is that they are very athletic and dumb as dirt....Syracuse (2-3 zone since 1981...) would easily beat them...

Not sure if I can explain that, but can you explain to me how Cincy was up by 9 points with 23 seconds to go and they end up winning by 3??? They have been HORRIBLE ATS this season! Unreal!!

Didn't see the game but your right about 'why teams don't play more zone vs a team that cannot hit a 3.A few weeks ago against the johnnies they were 0-12 and the next game..maybe ND..not sure shot 5-25..but they won by a few.Cats play good defense and can hit the bds.
Timmy Walsh the former coach at Prov played nothing but 2-3 zone.his was Boe's asst at the cuse.Timmy's father was a coach and played man/man at SUNY Postdam for 25 years.Keno davis the coach at prov. father is the great Dr. tom davis of BC,Stanford,etc. Box and one used Tom davis's zone attack for 23 years.In fact used the same formation in the zone attack and made it man/man.My kids I had weren't rocket scientist and I needed to keep it sweet and simple.
But getting back to why not zone...who knows...sometimes you go zone because of depth,the players have low basketball IQ,are too agressive,the other teams offense uses the dribble drive..I know its gets us frustrated watching these games.Didn't see any of the game so don't know about the last minute.GL the rest of the season..

This team is terrible from the outside although last nite they shot well. I think last nite is the way they like to play up and down and get some easy shots and get into the flow of the game.
You zone this team and they cant throw it in the ocean. ND Mike Brey zoned them the first half against them and had the lead at half. So what does he do the 2nd half? He plays man to man and guess what happened? They lost.

Ive had my short of losing leads late in games this year i know what u mean.
And yes this team is terrible ATS. Thats why i keep betting against them and LSU.
