Guys, Its been miserable the last few days with all the hate spewed toward me. I realize most of you hate me for some reason, even though I have done nothing wrong, you are now going to get your wish. I had a discussion with my wife this morning and showed her the hateful posts against her, and she looks at me and says, wow these people truly hate you, why are you still posting there? I have said some outrageous things in my 6 years here and do not regret one of them. I am now having certain people saying I said things that are a federal crime, that are not true. I have been thinking it would be a good thing to leave and not say anything, but that is not my style and now getting accused of things I never said and being made the butt of every joke has made me realize I dont have many friends on here. So guys you are getting your wish. :sadwave:

I can't find a lot of constructive posts from either side of fence. Believe we can agree hateful posts are bipartisan here.

I read a couple issues on Minnesota this morning I'd like to share with you.

The 1st on global warming--
Eleven green-energy wind turbines in Minnesota, which are supposed to provide environmentally safe electricity and fight global warming, cannot operate because they are frozen stiff.
The Star-Tribune reports the machines were supposed to be spinning by Christmas, but so far have been motionless. The state's power agency says cold hydraulic fluid has turned to gel and oil lubricants are getting sluggish.
North St. Paul City Manager Wally Wysopal says, "it's been a little embarrassing to have it not turning on the windiest of days."
The company that installed the turbines, which came from California, says it was not consulted on "climate compatibility."

the 2nd is on apparent shift in politics there

The fact is, this forum is now tried to be hidden and many thoughtful posters don't post in here any more. That's sad, and I offer in large part it's because of the hatred of liberals, and specifically Obama. I do not think the blanket hatred and ugly names were anything like this back in the Bush day. I criticized him daily, yes, but never wished the stupid ass sickening things on him like about three people do here. And I can't think of many that did. I admit that I do go a bit far myself. Once I saw Hedgy posting his complete racial commie garbage I had to comment. Let it be known that I have NEVER posted more than a post or two in any political forum before. His actions have necessitated an equal response from the left and he will continue to get it.

Not that it makes it right, but i'm willing to live with it.

As for your comment about posting thoughtful comments, its never worked on this board. I post stuff about blowback or Paul and you just get the same people commenting the same garbage.

Well, I've certainly made some derogatory comments about what people have posted, insinuating their lack of intelligence or ability to grasp something. But I don't think I've really made it personal and just called someone something horrible or hoped that someone would die, etc.

While you and I don't agree on a few things, Wayne, we get along ok - I think you handle me better than I handle you, I make it more personal. But, I do enjoy the give and take and ability to learn from others - and there's plenty of that for me to do. I miss that opportunity with people like Gardenweasel, Al, Kosar, Smurph, and others who stay away now. Some pop in with good stuff, but rarely.

I'm just sick of the 75% bullshit namecalling crap. And it centers around about 5 people, sadly. And they post 75% of the posts here now. So, there you go...

I'm not big into the Global Warming either, but I am not totally discounting it either.. You can post an article about it being cold in Minnesota??:shrug: Of course it is cold here but it's not as cold as it was 20 years ago.. The winters have been milder of late. I am not sayin its because of global warming but it makes me think about it.. I read the Duluth News Tribune today and the article stated that the moose population was dying because of the increased summer temperatures.

Also, I cared for a gentleman who worked for some weather service in Calgary. This guy was genius IQ 160s and he totally believed in it.. SO what the fuck do I know..
