couldnt agree more.. its kinda hard to win 7 on 5... those refs just gave the game to pitt.. what a joke..

Are you joking??? They gave WVA call after call after call after call for last 3-4 mins of regulation and all of 1st OT. Kept calling touch bullshit fouls on that end only.

Oh yeah, forgot about the bullshit foul on the 3-pointer. Guy puts his hand up and the shooter, after the shot, initiates contact...whistle blows.

It was terribly officiated and some bad calls on both sides, just way too many ticky tack calls against Pitt. WVa plows over a guy and hits a layup...no call. Then you breathe on WVA for about 10 straight possessions....foul after foul after foul.

Also, a horrible call late in regulation where there might have been a 5-second call or bad inbounds pass (announcer said count was at 4) and they bail WVa out...again.
Yeah, they missed the out of bounds which was big, but they kept WVa in it to no end...

Totally agree. Only reason I kept watching....I had money on it and that was only game I played tonight.
Thought both teams made a lot of mistakes and refs were downright horrible...

Just my opinion and I had no money on the game but I definately disagree that Pitt got more calls...If you watched the game from an unbiased standpoint I think you would agree that Wvu got a lot more ticky tack calls there way...When they showed the so called out of bounds in slow motion when he stepped out he didn't have the ball in his hand and had no contact with the ball...if you can watch it again and it was a good call because he was in bounds and then passed it....did you see when WVU should of had a 10 sec call for not getting the ball over half court and the refs didn't call that???
It was a poorly officiated game but I would def not say the refs were in PITT's favor...

Yeah, I don't think he was touching it while out of bounds, but I also don't think he re-established himself inbounds before touching it again.
I was unbiased as to who won, as long as Pitt stayed within 3 points.
I hate that anyone thinks of this game as a "classic" b/c it was a comedy of errors on both sides in strategy and play and the refs were awful.
With about 2 minutes left, Pitt down 5 I think....WVa uses up 30 seconds...then Pitt gets it and shows no sense of urgency at all. Everyone standing around and finally after another 30 sec's guy drives in and hands it to WVa.
Then at end of regulation, up 3, not only do they not foul....but they just let the guy walk right up to 3-pt line and shoot almost uncontested.

I didn't have $$ on it, but did watch it. I definitely thought he was out of bounds and no way the ref saw that he took his hand off the ball at that moment, bad call, hence leads to a three that ties the game. However, like in any sport, don't leave it to the judges score cards or ump or ref, plain and simple WVU lost this game IMO at the free throw line, make those this isn't even a conversation.
