Ray,I have been forced out of the concrete business.
My unemployment ran out,and there's no work in concrete,

Luckily I found a job with retail giant Nordstroms.
Unloading trucks in wee hours of the morning.(2am).

Had to take a paycut,but did get some benefits I did not have with the crete work.I will miss the freedom the concrete work had,but what can ya do.

My hours are close to 40,but vary because of economic climate.Just telling you this because this country is run backwards.

I was forced to take a job because of the state of things,while someone on welfare can borrow off the state fore-ever.

i am truely sorry to hear the bad news but happy you find a job , is it a teamsters job,

i am scare myself with this up coming season.
if things don't get going soon , i am going to back
with the teamsters driving a truck!

Not union,but starting pay is competitive to union pay in that kind of position,if you know what I mean.

I would take the truck job,if I was you.My buddy owns a crete business (I did not work for him) and he layed off all his workers and calls in a kid whos green and pays him dirt cheap.Cant afford to pay his help.

He has no work,his business is dieing.No good.
