Holly Molly.......woke up this morning at 3.00am with every light on in my house...We got 27 inches of snow...no power since 3.00am Friday....no heat,electric,etc...I have a gas burning stove in the living room that we hadn't used in 2 yrs...it was our savior...I have an old Victorian home with 5 bedrooms upstairs and one down stairs....we closed everything off except the kitchen, living room and one bedroom above..It worked..downstairs was about 65 degrees and upstairs about 55...had to throw out most of the food..in the frig...had candles, flash lights,etc...walked around the village and met so many neighbors we haven't seen...it was so erie walking thru the village and the entire area was dark..CNN was in our village doing interviews but with no power we never saw it...no TV yet but computer just turned on...I saw Rutgers was -4 vs DePaul..OMG..I would of jumped on that big time..I had the number at -10..maybe someone was hurt like Ndiaye or something...no way 4 pts..RU at home beat some good teams...I heard on the radio and was praying Depaul won..But heard RU won by 9 or 11.damn...Also liked Cuse big time last nite over Nova....of course these guys win when I have nothing on the games...

Just got a call from my supe in school..No school tomr..they can't dig out the 30 buses, the garage has no power, there is 2 feet of snow up the roof of the HS...the parking lot hasn't been cleared and the school is running on generators...
This is the worst storm I can ever remember.I think we had as much snow once or twice but never the damage and outages...a have a huge tree limb that came down and just missed my house by 2 feet...The snow of the limb smacked into my window. I thought it was someone throwing snowballs when i heard the thud...but on the good side.....a friend of mine plowed my driveway 3 times and and my next door neighbor did my sidewalk.....with his snowblower....then sat nite I see someone doing my sidewalk again...I go out there and I don't know him....Its Mrs Sutters son who lives 4 houses down the street. His mom lives alone and she is a retired math teacher..she had 3 of 4 of my kids in school...I asked him "why are you doing my sidewalk"..he said you and your wife always stop and talk to my mother when she is sitting on her front porch. You always ask her if she needs anything,etc...I thanked them....sometimes when we lose our computers,TV,electric,......damn..I'm typing this and again lost tv-computer..goping to post this in case I lose it all..sorry for the poor grammer, spelling, etc

Iona -1 over Peter **
Iona gds put a lot of pressure on Peters gds..relentless pressure should tire out jenkins and leon..Loved peter over marist..what was the line? I know they won by 20..would of played Peter..but no idea of the line....think Gaels win this in front of small crowd.

Rider -4 over Canisius **
I think the broncoIs at home can beat the Griifs..Don't have time to see the tourney implications on seeding..sometimes it pays not to face Siena in 2nd rd or a play in game...if I had more time maybe mores boxes either way...

Siena -15 over Marist 1st half **
Think the saints will come out smoking and then with the line -27.5 I see a whole bunch of subs coming in the 2nd half...they probably will cover anyway..but 1st half they should be focused.

FSU -5 over clemson **

Man, I missed you yesterday. Didn't realize how my capping has come to rely on games you compliment. Did well in the morning and began chasing late.. wasn't pretty.

Glad all is well. Last September when we had the 500 year flood in Atlanta, I myself, had a first since of community. Amazing how technology somehow removes the sense of the neighborhood "bonding"... Soon after the flood the neighborhood went back to its daily less communal behavior.

Anyways, glad your back buddy.

Agree entirely to every bit of this post...

...From my own suspect capping  , to chasing games last night (which we've both been around way too long for  ), to your excellent point about modern technological independence leading to seclusion and lack of community. And it's all a shame!

Phew!... glad to have you back Box. :SIB It's rough out there without you. :tongue
