I'm triyng to figure out how Florida is a 10 and the Dawgs are out. If UF is a 10 and Miss State just beat them......
I think Miss State got screwed.

I will give it a try. MSU had 2 quality wins. FLORIDA had 4 quality wins. MSU lost to more very bad teams than FLORIDA did. Florida had a 9-7 record and played in a much tougher division
than MSU did. MSU finished 9-7 in a weaker division.
THE Committe got it right on this one. MSU was not a consistent basketball team at any time this year. THEY had bad losses to ARKANSAS Auburn Alabama Rider and W KY
FLORIDA was not even close to being out according to their number 10 seed.
miight be interesting NIT. MSU and Ole miss could both do very well. Both maybe number 1 seeds.

A season is not played in 3 games. It is played in
30+ games. Going into the s.e.c. tourney MSU had shot itself in the foot numerous times . They lost their last 2 games of the year to AUBURN an Tennessee. MSU needs to start playing during the season like they play in the s.e.c. tournament. They cant expect to wait till the tournament evey year to start playing. Msu can only blame itself for not being in the dance.

One can debate Florida but Miss State had ZERO argument. They had a win v Old Dom and that was it in their miserable OOC schedule. Their RPI is in the upper 70s. Having a couple close losses doesnt mean diddly - and in fact without those games the RPI would be in the upper 80s.

I agree Corley they probably shouldnt be in and if truth be known they got in on their name alone.
Not only do they get in... but a 10 seed????? MSU was a 13 seed last year and won the tourney... what am I missing?
