"The Cleveland Browns traded Brady Quinn to the Denver Broncos, meaning the NFL?s hottest quarterback will now be residing in the Rockies.

Quinn, a 2007 first-round pick who has been mediocre at best, was traded for fullback Peyton Hillis, a sixth-round pick in 2011 and a pick in 2012."

they couldn`t have gotten a little more?....good lord...

I thought Orton was decent last year, guess not...looks like Cleveland is going to go with Delhomme and Seneca Wallace, I bet they dont win 6 games next year:shrug:

change was needed in Cleveland though...:sadwave:

Great move by the Browns. Dump his high profile, non-performing combo and get something that may provide a little value.

you guys don`t think it was a little early to throw the towel in on brady?...has he even had one full year of starting qb experience with the team to develop some continuity?....

i think it was a bit premature...we`ll see...

i like to see some of these quarterbacks play for that shit, no receiver, no defense, and no running backs shitty team. The guy was in a no win situations.

As soon as the Browns stopped trying to throw the ball and started handing off all the time, they won four straight. Coincidence?

i also think it was a pretty good move on the browns part & am surprised that a team was willing to give up 2 picks & a player for quinn....this team wasn't going anywhere with what they had & since this is supposed to be the deepest draft in some time, holmgren is doing the right thing imo & accumulating draft picks....the browns have almost 2 picks in every round this year....fwiw i think wallace will be the starting qb this season & i think they draft a qb in this draft....maybe clausen at #14 ?

Where it is real F ing COLD
As far as gving up on Quinn? I think it was a good move for Denver.. Kind of wished my Vikes would of got him.. But it maybe a good move for the Browns because it is true, they are not going anywhere but if Quinn turns out to be good over 5 years then they will look like fools.. What a season to look forward to if you are a Browns fan.. Delhomme and Wallace :scared I rather have Tavarais Jackson :sadwave: :142smilie

i don`t see how a 6th round pick is gonna help all that much, whether they use it themselves or try and package it to move up....

a 6th rounder is practically a free agent....it`s a garbage throw in....in most cases it`s a throw away...

as i said,we`ll see...i thought denver basically got him for very little....it seems like a contract dump(even though i`m not familiar with his contract)....

what`s gonna draw cleveland fans to the stadium next year?...cribbs?...if i had a season`s ticket,i`d be looking to dump some dates if possible...

as a ravens fan,i`m fine with cleveland stinking for another few years...starting from scratch....

but for what they got in return,i think i`d have hung with him...they can draft another qb and still give him his shot...they couldn`t possibly get too much less a year down the road...hell,they aren`t winning next year regardless...

maybe he`s kyle boller...maybe not...i think the jury`s still out...

they`ll look awfully stupid if the guy pans out...

Orton was decent last year and this year will be a top 10 QB imo.

Quinn wont be starting, he has to come in and learn our system that everyone had to learn last year. McDaniels will be able to groom him into a very good QB.

Love the trade for us :toast:

If the browns trade up for Clausen they are out of their minds. Another Irish quarterback? there has never, ever been a decent quarterback to come out of notre dame. Ever.

be interesting to watch how this shakes out...might be several years before we know....

why do folks think clausen is a more viable pro prospect than quinn was?....clausen never wowed me...

How about Carson Palmer? . . . oh, nevermind - he didn't have the grades to get to ND. . . Beurlein, Lamonica, Hornung did and they played ok in the NFL

Eddie's still upset that the Bearcats coach took a downward move to go to South Bend. Let him vent - he deserves it.

Quinn can be a solid NFL QB which is more than what the Browns have on their roster, but he never had the skill that Clausen has. Probably a better leader.
