Why is NOBODY giving Harangoty crap for not kicking the ball out for a possible tying 3 pointer, instead of a meaningless layup at the buzzer? He had to know the clock was running out, right? 'Goty goes down, ND starts winning, he comes back, they suck again, hmmm.

At least he's getting crap for "being terrible*" in all his NCAA touney games, including only 4pts tonight.

(And I'm not saying this as a ND hater [not basketball, at least], after all I had ND going through in my bracket, but I just don't know why he gets a free pass for this stupid play.) :shrug:

Watched it, didn't even notice Harangoty out there at all. It just seemed weird that he had NO reaction after everyone but him realized he should have kicked it out. Brey made no mention of it in the press conference, and no question was asked, as far as I can see. Like I have said, I just don't get it.

Did ND have a timeout left??
The first guy that got the rebound should have called timeout with like 2.5 sec left.
The game was a lost cause once Haragody got his hands on the ball.

Looking at the video, you are probably right. It didn't help that all the other ND players were just standing around watching, instead of setting themselves up for a quick pass for 3. You are right, once Goty got the ball, it was probably over, but at the same time, he could not have known exactly how much time was left, just that it was almost out. A back-tap to someone to shoot a 3 makes a lot more sense than what he HAD to know was a meaningless layup.

Why do I keep talking about this? I honestly could care less, not a ND fan, not a Big East fan, and not a hater. Whatever.
