These news say that Virgin cars have too small fuel tank so they are not even able to finish the race even if their cars don't break down before they run out of fuel

Both Virign cars broke down and retired. Looked to me that they were not trying to save fuel to finish the race, just as a note to the next race if these bets are available again.
