WHEN BETTING BASES, ON A -150 LINE, DO I NEED TO LAY 150 TO WIN 100. OR DO I LAY 100 TO WIN 66.67?
I WANT TO TRY TO WIN SOME MONEY, AND NOT BE STUPID THIS YEAR!

THANKS,
CBROWN

NO SHIT. WAS WONDERING AS FAR A GOOD MONEY MGMT. WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO BE CONSISTENT!

cb, it all varies on your br. I myself bet 2% to 4% of my bank roll on each game depending how much I like that individual play. hope this helps, gl..

I like to control the risk to my bankroll, so I bet full or half units (2 or 1 UNIT) risked for the return reduced by the juice I am paying, thus if a -130 favorite I would risk 100 to win 76.92.......

on a +130 dog I would risk 100 to win 130.00

I would factor the probability of the play winning to be either an ACTION PLAY ( 1/4 of a half (1) unit play, or a 1 unit (HALF) or a 2 unit (FULL) unit play

1 unit is the same as HALF, 2 unit is the same as FULL unit, I guess to avoid the confusion I will go to 1 or 2 but the FULL/2 UNIT is currently 4 % BR, but I have a sliding scale that moves the FULL unit from 3.5% to 5 % depending upon how my season is going. I was at 4.2 % after Monday but yesterday knocked me down to 4%, IF I lose again today and tomorrow I will drop again to 3.9 then 3.8 % complicated yes but the key is to protect your bakroll. Those dollars in your bankroll are your employee's you don't want to lay them off (LOSE ALL OF THEM) prior to the end of the season.:nono:

On the course!
Comfort.

You bet what is ok for you to lose. Maybe even the $100 to win 66 is too much? Who cares? No one here is really impressed when a guy tells you he has $5000 on a game. If you bet $15 on that game to win $10, that's your biz.

You find where you can still keep playing when you lose, and you'll be fine.

my advice is to bet low favs and dogs, as you know if you play two dogs +140 for 100 and split you come out +40

bases is where money is made and we lose back in football:142smilie
