I like this play for a few reasons:
First off, I am not a big fan of Javy Vasquez. I think he got a lot more credit than he deserved in the offseason for having one good year, which I see as something of an aberration. I believe he's been a mediocre pitcher for the majority of his career and his career stats particularly pitching in the AL have not been great to say the least. While I will agree that he is a good strikeout pitcher, I see the rays being more patient at the plate this season rather than the young, swing-first ask questions later, team of the past. This is Javy's second go around with the yanks and it is documented that this guy doesn't handle pressure well, and he will be feeling it.
In addition to all this, the rays lineup has very good numbers against him.
Oppositely, the yanks lineup has struggled with Price. That is reflected in his outings against them last year.
I like this play a lot and I usually don't go out on a limb and make my own bases play (I follow people here mostly), but I do feel that this one has a good shot and for even money the price is right for me.
