Washington in 5 games
Devils in 7 games
Buffalo in 6 games
Pitt in 7 games

Sharks in 5 games
Kings in 6 games
Phoenix in 7 games
Chicago in 5 games


As for bets.............

Coyotes to win the cup at 24-1 *half Puck

Sabres to win the cup at 22-1 *half Puck


Sabres are not a powerhouse, and lack in quite a few areas. BUT how many times have we seen a team win a Cup with a hot goalie? Ryan Miller can win a Cup all by himself, he is that good. At 22-1 worth a shot

As for Phoenix, all year long they have over-achieved, why not keep it going? Big odds, and worth a shot

There usually always is at least one upset in the first round, but I don't think it's LA winning. Maybe Wings over the Yotes, Detroit is hot as hell right now.... Let's make some $$$$$

Deucer, Wings are fav's...the seeding doesnt necessarily mean they would be an upset.

I have to say that I dont expect the 1st round to be very exciting as I have all favs moving on with only 2 series possibly needing 7 games.

However, I am really torn with the phx/det draw. I liked both of them to make some noise and I cannot confindently choose which will do so since they play eachother first. Im leaning Wings because they are clearly a different team now that they have 95% of their players back. Their pedigree puts them over the top for me, even though I fully realize Bryzgalov can and likely will single-handedly win games.

pens closed the year with injuries and ottawa closed the year hot, I would be surprised if Ottawa won but I would not be surprised if it took pitt a little while to get going, therefore I could see ottawa give them a bit of trouble. Goaltending is lacking in Ottawa we will see what Elliott can do. Plus there always could be the Cup hangover from last year?.The pens do play very good playoff hockey though
