Doing a little math with guessing at the numbers, it will take 55 years to pay this stadium off with gate money.

Assumptions:
  • sell out every game
  • average ticket price = $10
  • 6 home games per year

I deal with school districts every day, and budget cuts are UNREAL right now. This amazes me that it's happening right now.

It's crazy what's going in here in Central Indiana as well. Closing down several schools in multiple districts. Teacher layoffs, cutbacks on academic and athletic programs.

It's a real mess for sure. I'm on the fence on where I fall on the issues we face right now in our community. I've got many friends that are teachers as well as administrators. Nobody wants schools to close, teachers laid off or programs slashed... yet here we are.

No cut backs around here. I'm right next to Allen and I can tell you they're doing the exact opposite. I wouldn't be suprised to see them start building another high school as well. I just can't see how they can grow the way they're growing without building another one.


Dawg, they'll get a lot more than 6 games a year out of that place. They will host quite a few regular season games between other high schools that meet in this area so the drives aren't too far. They will also host atleast two playoff games a week during the high school playoffs.

Also, there's no way they don't add another high school within 10 years so they'll double their own city high school games by then.

I know the numbers are big but if they can pack that place with 18k people then they'll be fine. Yeah tickets might be $10 each but what about parking and concessions.

Sheikh Al Mohammed Maktoum of the United Arab Emirates is planning to build a 100 million dollar high school football stadium in Dubai in 2011 which will seat 40,000. Cheerleaders will be required to wear burka's.
