More words of wisdom, but you must spend a LOT of time shopping for USED and be very careful, they don't trade em in because they are running fine many times. Do you know someone in the car business locally? Approach them about some ideas and models to consider, some engines are junk, be open minded about what you buy and where you buy it, and remember your best tool to get a good deal is walking away. My son always spends 2-3 weeks shopping and I go along.
PS, my employment is GM parts counter sales, we get to see what breaks on a daily basis.![]()
