This is a vid of a Hail storm in OKC a few days ago. Watch to at least the 2 minute mark. It gets Crazy. I have been in a hail storm like this driving a crude truck in Western Oklahoma in the early 80's. It was quite scary. If you have never experienced a super cell thunderstorm in Oklahoma it is hard to imgaine.
Check it out.

In the shadows
:scared

That is intense ! When I was stationed at Ft Hood, we had one hit us, but not that extreme. I was out in the field when it hit, in my my radio shelter, some troops were out in the bush and attempted to make to cover and got beat to shit. :box2: :box2:

quite a storm!! I've been in 2 bad ones. The first was either 1988 or 1989. We were making a family trip out west and ran into this huge storm in Mizzoula, Montana. It beat the car to hell, and I can still remember my dad holding his head out the window to see to drive after it was over. We stayed there overnight at the Patriot Motel (what a dive that place was) and got a new windshield the next day.

In 2004, I was turkey hunting at my farm. A huge thunderstorm blew in (one of those days when the forecast was for isolated thunderstorms chance of rain 20% and it hit), and I was on top of the ridge. I was trapped so bad, and it started lightning like crazy all around me. There was no where to go, and it is the most scared I have ever been. It was literally striking trees near me. :scared Then, it started hailing!! THey were only golf ball sized, but they sure left a welt. I walked down the ridge about 30 feet, got on the leeward side of a tree, and held on. I don't go turkey hunting now if there's a chance of a storm :mj07:
