Lakers will win in 6 the Celtics are too old for a team that has that many scorers

http://www.nba.com/statistics/sortable_team_statistics/sortable1.html?cnf=1&prd=1

Orlando was a much better scoring team this season. Orlando was the much better 3pt team too.

. They are not like the Magic where you can just go man on D. Howard who has no skill set and let everyone else guard above the perimeter.

Ron Artest will guard Pierce like he did with Indiana and will limit his production :mj07: and there is not one person on the floor who can stop Kobe;) .

Fishers will give Rondo space and make him hit jumpers if he can do this then we could have a series. :nono:

Garnett will get his and Ray Allen will have a few good games, but LA is just too complete on offense and have enough length to defend the interior. Lakers struggle with teams that have superb athletecism aka OKC, that is something Boston doesn't have and this series will be won on who has the better half court offense which is the Lakers.

Lakers in 6 :toast:

Lakers struggle with teams with athletecism? Are you serious? They're as athletic and long as any team in the league. Phoenix is athletic, are they struggling with them? They struggle with teams that are physical because guys like Gasol and Odom shy away once it become too physical.

And everyone says they're going to give Rondo space. Look back at the tape and see what has happened to everyone that has done that. Fisher is the oldest and slowest pg he will face in the playoffs. The Lakers have NO answer for him.

Nobody on the floor can stop Kobe? Ok, so who else will score? The Celts won't double Kobe, just like they didn't two years ago. He'll get his 30-35 and everyone else will struggle big time. They'll get 25% lower boards than they're use to and everyone will say it was the refs or something like that. Just like in football, defense and being physical matter the most and that's the Celts.

I hate the Celtics but I learned my lesson two years ago. Perkins and Garnett are two guys that together are a dominate duo. Ray will get his normal shots just because he'll be open here and here. Pierce will get his because he is good and there's only so much Artest can do. Rondo will dominate and not just scoring but with dimes, rebounds and deflections.

This series is at best a toss up but right now I believe you can get the Celts for +245 to win the title so that's basically about what you're line will be. Take the Lakers, they may win but for the money the Celts are the smarter play.

Lakers are not that athletic... Lamar, Pau, Artest, and Bynum are not athletic. They have tremendous skill levels and anyone of them can score that's what seperates them in an half court offense against other teams.

I also agree that Lakers do struggle with physical teams, but the Celtics are not that physical, they do play great defense because they can play one on one in the interior against most teams, but they haven'tfaced two seven footers and another 6 foot 10 guy down low who can score, unlike the Celtics.

Rondo will not have as many rebounds in the Lakers series, because the Lakers are too long. I mean seriously Pau, Bynum, and Lamar are tremendously long and that's why Phoenix is struggling so bad. Hell, Amare has 9 rebounds in TWO games.

This series will come down on who score the most in a half court offense and the Lakers have more threats than the Celtics. That is inarguable.

GL... I'm on the Lakers.

PS - "Who else can score" Umm everyone on the starting five can get their own points. If Kobe plays smart like he did in the last game and distribute the ball the Celtics have no chance IMO. I guess we will see.

If everyone on the Lakers starting five can score on the Celts then why did they stuggle scoring so much against them 2 years ago? Yeah the Lakers are very long but the Celts are big inside as well. They will be able to play one on one on the inside. Perkins will shut down Bynum mainly because Bynum sucks but also because Perkins is an excellant defender. KG will do the same thing to Gasol that he's always done since his days in Minn and Gasols in Memphis, he'll slow him down big time. That's not an opinion, it's just the way it's always been. If you think the Lakers can rely on Odom then they have problems. He's much like Gasol, when a team plays like the Celts he backs down.

You forget to mention that the Lakers haven't faced a team as big as the Celts yet. As a matter of fact the Lakers have probably faced the three smallest teams possible. OKC is small, the Jazz right now are VERY small and so is Phoenix. Their length has helped them vs these small teams. The Celts are not a small team. They play very big and the difference is their bigs play great D, the Lakers bigs play ok D.

Listen, I'm a Western conference guy and if it came down to liking a team more I would pick the Lakers. Two years ago I thought the Lakers would roll the Celts but it didn't happen.

Like I said before the Lakers may win and I think it's really a toss up but that's why I say as far as the bet goes it's the Celts because of how big a dog they are.

Chin, I did forget to say good luck with your play. I really do hope it's a great series with some good endings and no blow outs.

i didn't realize the Celts/Magic series ended already. Still gotta play at least two more games.. and who knows, maybe Pierce will actually get hurt one of the times he usually feigns to be seriously injured and then "miraculously" comes back to perfect health 5 minutes later...

if they do meet I like the Lakers in 7.

This series is FINISHED.
If you don't believe than take the great odds on Orlando +404 to win it.
