YTD Record: 83-67 for +32.75 units

games don't start until Friday, but going to play these futures for particular regionals:

Oklahoma -125 (Norman Regional) for 4 units - pretty weak regional with a UNC team that is way over-rated as they didn't make their conference tourney and really shouldn't have got a bid. Cal started off the year well but is really on a down turn headed into post-season play. If the Sooners get just average pitching, their bats will easily carry them to the Supers.

Rice +385 (Austin Regional) for 1/2 unit - just have a feeling that Texas is on a bit of a slide. Think the Longhorns will have a tough time with TCU if they make the Supers, but a quick exit wouldn't really surprise me.

TCU -125 (Ft. Worth Regional) for 4 units - Baylor and Zona have decent staffs but TCU has serious depth that will allow them to handle this regional easily. Horned Frogs potent lineup from top to bottom doesn't hurt either.

Minny +1500 (Fullerton Regional) for 1/2 unit - if there is a Fresno/Cinderella out there, the Gophers may be that team.

Vandy +250 (Louisville Regional) for 2 units - pretty evenly matched #2 seed for host Ville. Given that worth a shot at +250.

Friday?s Games:

A&M -200 (vs. FIU) for 3 units ? often a #2 seed will hold their ace back in the first game of a regional in hopes of pitching that guy vs. the #1 seed. Not the case with A&M as they are going with their stud Barrett Loux. FIU starts R.J. Fondon, their #1 guy, but who has been hit hard his last few outings.

Vandy -300 (vs. IL State) for 1 unit ? don?t see a first round slip up for them.

Citadel +180 (vs. VaTech) for 1 unit ? Holies are a solid team, but its their first time in a regional in 10 years. Bulldogs starter Asher Wojciechowski is one of the better pitchers most haven?t heard from due to playing at a smaller school (144 K?s in 119 IP).

Close friend of the family plays for Illinois State.

They absolutely pounded Wichita State in Mo Valley championship, chasing their stud pitcher in a couple innings.

At 41-19 Wich St didn't get an invite which speaks to a down year in the MVC this year.

That being said Vandy will be a huge step up in class and I think handles ISU easily.

Best of luck in the CWS this year.

Fyi...

If you go to the ncaa.com/cws website you can watch most or all of the games online for free.

Watched the whole ISU/Vandy game...Vandy got several clutch double plays to get out of jams, including bases loaded in the top of the last inning.
Take em however they come.

GL today.

Some chalky plays today, but just don?t foresee the upsets in these.

Miami -180 (vs. A&M) for 2 units ? Miami?s ace Chris Hernandez goes today as A&M used their ace Barrett Loux yesterday. Big advantage for the canes.

Coastal Carolina -200 (vs. College of Charleston) for 2 units ? advantages on the field as well as the extra motivation of ending the losing streak vs. CofC for Chanticleers today.

UConn -200 (vs. Central Connecticut) for 3 units ? much better pitching depth for the Huskies will get them through this one.

Cal -175 (vs. Oral Roberts) for 2 units ? pitching depth again in this one.

Oklahoma -165 (vs. UNC) for 2 units ? Sooners got a scare yesterday but should rebound today. After Matt Harvey (staff ace who went last night for the Heels), I don?t trust anyone on UNC?s pitching staff.

Clemson +105 (vs. Auburn) for 2 units ? believe Clemson?s ace Casey Harman can contain the potent Auburn bats enough. Auburn?s got a bad pitching staff and plays bad D and think that comes out today.

Kansas State -300 (vs. Grambling) for 2 units ? K-State has a potent offense that should tee-off on a Grambling staff that has a combined ERA of 8.74.

Minny +135 (vs. N. Mexico) for 2 units ? Gophers upset the #1 overall seed Sun Devils last night. I feel the Cinderella storyline brewing.

6-2 yesterday for +6.3 units. Lost the Coastal and Cal plays. Both dogs that I played came in which is nice. Will try to look at today's games now before I travel back to Chicago, so might not get to post plays.

just doing these 3 today:

Vandy -300 (vs. IL State) for 1 unit - still like this team and think they survive the elimination game for another shot at Louisville.

Kansas St. +115 (vs. Wazzou) for 2 units - think the Wildcats offense keeps them around for another game.

San Diego -175 (vs. Hawaii) for 3 units - Torrero's pitching comes through for them in this one.

1-2 on the day giving back yesterday's winnings. Vandy was the only one that came through.

Updated Record: 93-71 for +38.60 units

Oklahoma and TCU did win their regionals so those future plays came through. Rice lost to Texas tonight to be eliminated. Vandy and Minny go again tomorrow to decide their respective regionals (unless the Gophers pull off a comeback yet tonight). Also the Gophers are in the Fullerton regional, don't know what I was thinking when I wrote they upset the Sun Devils as it was Cal State they beat. Will add the regional plays to the record after tomorrow's games.

Do-or-die games for the remaining 8 regionals today, should be some good games.

GaTech -150 (vs. Bama) for 4 units ? Though Bama staved off elimination last night, there is too much to like about the Yellow Jackets today. They are at home, have a much more potent offense, the better more rested pen and the more experienced starter. Bama sends Frosh Taylor Wolfe to the mound (5.31 ERA; 1.74 WHIP; .303 OBA and 44 K?s in 39 IP). Wolfe started out as Bama?s Sunday starter but getting into conference play he was hit a bit hard and lost his spot. He started the SEC championship game and only lasted 2 innings against LSU. GaTech sends out Jed Bradley (4.17 ERA; 1.39 WHIP; .288 OBA and 95 K?s in 86 1/3 IP) who was their Sunday starter for most of the year. He had some sub-par outings in his last few starts, but is the better pitcher of the two starters. Also GaTech?s pen should be able to bail him out a lot more than Bama?s can do for Wolfe.

A&M +170 (vs. Miami) for 2 units ? More of a hunch/emotional play then one based on numbers. On paper Miami has slight advantages in offense and pitching depth, also they are at home and have played one less game in the regional. However, they have the feel of a team playing not to lose. Post-game comments by their coach yesterday talked about the stadium not being filled with fans and upset about the game times for their regional (early due to tv coverage and in the heat). A&M hasn?t announced a starter but I?m guessing it will be Nick Fleece and be a pitching by committee game. Same thing for Miami, though it appears they will send Frosh Eric Whaley who started Friday?s game for Miami and pitched 4 scoreless innings. Just have a feeling Miami is playing scared and it is a good spot for the dog here.

Clemson +135 (vs. Auburn) for 2 units ? Auburn has the more potent offense, but Clemson has the deeper pitching staff which is going to be big in this one I feel. Not only are they better on paper, they?ve played one less game this regional and one of their games was a CG for Clemson starter Casey Harman. No named starter for either squad, but Clemson depth gives them a lot here despite playing in front of what will be a raucous Auburn crowd.

Went 1-1 yesterday losing GaTech as they blow an early 3 run lead, and Clemson won negating the loss a bit. A&M was postponed in the 2nd inning due to rain.

Vandy beat Ville giving me another Regional future win. Minny wasn?t able to beat Fullerton but they certainly showed they were a much better team than their 4 seed. So on the future bets I went 3-2 losing the two small ? unit bets for a total of +12.0 units

Updated Record: 97-74 for +47.30 units

Will be back on Friday for the Super Regionals
