What to Look For:
The pitching matchup appears pretty one-sided, but David Price has pitched around some trouble and has walked quite a few lately. Only Melky Cabrera has seen Price more than once, so I expect the Braves to be patient and make Price throw strikes while they see what he has. The Braves have been known to completely shut down against good lefties, so they need to buck the trend here.
My Take on the Opposition:
It's not difficult to take away from a 2.23 ERA when your xFIP is 4.38. David Price has been lucky this season, posting a .247 BABIP and 81% LOB%. His K/BB is actually worse than last year. But you can say he isn't giving up as many home runs and is getting the ball on the ground more. Price is due for regression and as long as he continues walking as many as he strikes out as he has over his past several starts, it will happen soon enough. He allowed one run on four hits in six innings against the Blue Jays last time out, walking five and striking out four.
Bobby confirmed the meeting with Chipper as dealing with retirement. It seems to be pretty much a done deal and all that's left is an announcement. But I'm not putting this into stone until that comes.
