Phil is 47-0 when winning game one of a playoff series. Lakers will soon by your nba champs. :padlock:

If there are any heavy hitters out there lay as much as you can on the money line. I am not a heavy hitter (wish i was) and just bet the series with a friend, and i have boston. i knew after game one this one was over. They have been toying with me ever since. i wish i had 30k laying around because making 10k has never been so easy.

my prediction for game 7 will be lakers ml but boston ats.

good luck everyone. I hope i'm wrong with lakers money line, but 47-0 is pretty solid!!!!

Boston is 7-0 all-time in Game 7 of the Finals, beating LA four times ? the last time at homein 1983-84

too bad one of those stats involves the current coach and the other stat involves old celtics teams. phil jackson 47-0 when his team wins game 1 of a series, pretty amazing stat. don't be a homer. here's to a good game tonight. i like lakers pull out a 5 point win at home.

you think i'm actually trying to be a homer? thats cool--so be it. listen i give credit where its due. 47-0 is awesome, no denying--but i'm not a homer. i forsee a good game actually. i was simply stating a fact to stir up opinion based -and even factual discussion. who woulda thunk that here.... not trying to ruin thread, maybe was jus wrong one to do it in

and its not too bad for me. will i waste time watching tonights game--prolly. will i have any money riding on it? absolutely not.

if i had my druthers, paul pierce and KG would sustain injuries early on keeping them from playing--and somehow, in miraculous fashion the celtics would win without them. i only want the celtice to win, because i think kobe is a RIDICULOUSLY talented crybaby. though like i said in another thread--i dislike pierce and kg equally. hey, gl with your side. really... a 120-70 something thrashing LA win is fine with me... yeah.. actually, for the majority of guys here that SHOULD be backing LA (based off that 47-0 alone) i'll root for LA. hell, if the public money isnt ALL OVER LA... i'd be surprised. i dunno how that plays into the guys that 'play against public money -and or on line movement' but we'll see.

heres hoping is a good game. that is what i think definitely will happen :toast:

Home court is obviously a big advantage when it comes to the decisive game and history definitely proves such. the home team has won 13 of 16 Game seven's in the Finals.

since the new 2-3-2 playoff format in 1985, there have been three gm sevens and the home team has won all three

Those 3 W's were by an average of only 5.3 ppg

While players and coaches will be treating this game like all others (personally, i dunno how one could do that), its not the same and there are some big names that have never experienced this. It'll be the first Finals Game 7 for Kobe and Fisher, who have played in 393 combined playoff games. Maybe most surprising, neither has Phil Jackson, who has coached in 322 postseason games and won 10 championships.

2010 is 5th LA BOS series to go seven and in the previous 4 instances, the Celtics have beaten the Lakers by an avg of just four ppg

see? i'm equal opportunity.

i wasn't trying to say you were being a homer i just wanted to point out that it doesn't matter what boston's record was 20 years ago because those players aren't involved, phil jackson is still the coach. I don't like either team so I think i'm pretty objective about these teams. I'd love to see a close game and Kobe or Ray nail a shot at the buzzer to win the title. I just think with the edge in coaching and home court that LA will be too much for Boston to handle. Plus perkins being out makes them a little thin.

Yes its real hard to imagine a coach would have such great success in game 7s with the likes of Jordan, pippen, Oneil and kobe Bryant. Its about the players not the coach.

To me the bottom line is that La lakers have too much length and size for Boston. The Celtics need to get a guy or two with a hot hand to draw La out of the paint, then and only then will they find success inside. This bet comes down to whether you think Pierce and or Ray Ray will be on their game tonight. If so, then take the points and get ready for a good one. If they are cold or average than the lakers win by DDigits. :sadwave:

Tball, i have no problem with you stating boston is 7-0 in game 7s. one of these streaks will fall tonight. I also agree with Hoopsguru and that phil is still active and the other boston teams are history. believe me i hope boston pulls it out, but that is just cause i have them in the series with a friend. facing phil jackson who is 47-0 is not good for anyone, period. :0corn

hes the coach so him being active has very little to do with who wins this game. Is kobe still active? Theres your trouble
