although blanton should throw a good game based on what i use. phill should score some runs. hopefully blanton throws a decent game.

sfran+115 for 400 morrow should get hit

wash-185 for 200 expecting big win from wash. bats should come thru with lots of runs.

tbay-150 for 200 looking for garza to throw strong game and tbay should bang around robertson.

I had TB too. It always sucks when you lose a bet because the manager doesn't get the starting pitcher out early, even though it's obvious the guy has nothing. Could have been a totally different outcome, but I guess he would rather have a loss and 6 innings of bullpen work than a potential win and 8+ innings of work. Oh well.

No, it's over. 7-2 in the 2nd now and FLA has all the momentum. TB had their chance to keep it close but they opted to keep Garza out there, even though it was obvious he was going to get shelled. And then they STILL chose to leave him out there in the 2nd when he continued to get shelled. I may have given him too much credit when I said he might be able to go 3 innings.

I know I bitch about it a lot, but it really is amazing how bad managers are when it comes to bullpens. They sacrifice wins, or potential wins, just to get an extra inning or two out of a guy who clearly has nothing. They aren't going to magically start pitching well, so I don't know what they're thinking.

Oh, and after that 5 run inning in the first you know TB, as a team, is just demoralized. They looked great against Robertson in the 1st but now that FLA came back like they did, TB's hitters will mail it in and make Robertson look like Cy Young the rest of the game. Mark my words -- I've seen this type of game a million times before. I'd love to be wrong, but I won't be. Not only is TB not winning this game, but it will be a route...

Have to give TB credit. They kept it closer than I thought they would after that Garza implosion. Their bullpen didn't give up a run in 7 2/3. If they had been brought in just two outs earlier, TB probably wins that game. Maddon gave away 6 runs for two extra outs by leaving Garza out there to die. I'm convinced most managers will never know how to manage a pitching staff. :shrug:
