So a friend gave me free passes to the Houston House of Blues tonight where Courtney Love's band HOLE was playing.
I have to admit I used to know some of the songs back in the day as I was a Nirvana fan and listened to Hole the early years.
Now it is an all guy band with Courtney as the lone chick.
The music is not the point of the story.
After the show we went into the bar attached with House of Blues for an after party.
3 band members show and talk to fans,drink,and sign autographs and photos.
The guitarist and Courtney were missing. After about an hour the wife and I head downstairs and come out by the tour bus where about 30 or so are waiting for her.
The other guitarist is sitting on the sidewalk talking to 2 chicks and everyone doesn't really seem to care about him, but that is where it gets interesting.
I am no expert on drugs but that dude was so gone it was not even funny. I was standing 2 feet from him I can tell you he had no clue what his name was. The kid looked like he was about 17 but was probably in his early 20's.
The bus was down street about 50 yards from the exit door the band normally comes out of and everyone was gathered around it. The wife and I were down by the bus waiting on some friends and out comes Courtney Love from a side door by the bus with security. There was nobody around us and her. I was probably 2 feet from her as security rushed her by me and onto the bus. I have NEVER seen someone so gone in my life and I have seen some screwed up shit living in Austin. She was on some good shit as she was in lala land.
Moral of this story is stay off the drugs kids. :0074
