just a fyi, from mohwak journal"

12th Race Selections 3-4-1-2 THE HORSEPLAYERS JOURNAL
3 A PS MONEY MAKER looks to be set up for a win anytime now. Her comeback has been modestly successful. It's time to turn up the heat tonight and I'll say
that she's the one that the others have to worry about most. I gave her the role of morning line favourite expecting that enough bettors would be on her
bandwagon to get her that status. She's not a shoo in but the one that I'm going to rate in the top spot.
4 TICKET TO ROCK has been doing some good things of late against older rivals. I don't know what her stakes schedule looks like. She'll keep fit and tight in the
overnight events. She finished third best in last year's 2 year old Breeders Crown. That tells you that she has some talent, which is backed up by the current
results. She'll be in the hunt again.
1 BLISSFUL SMILE is higher on the competition ladder tonight after that last race victory that was overdue. I stuck with her and the perseverance finally paid off
with a 5-1 return. She's been able to win in back to back fashion in the past but I thought the top two might be too tough if they both show up to do their best work.
She can beat the others.
2 GO GET HER was quick to regain winning form. Waples didn't do very much with her when post 10 was part of the profile. Once the slow start puts them at the
back of the pack it often works out that the opportunity to make any gains doesn't show up. Post 2 shouldn't cause any problems tonight. She can finish in the top
three easy enough.
THE FOLLOWING LISTED IN POST POSITION ORDER
(5) FUTURE FIRE N takes another rise into the next highest category for this start after three in a row top two results. Blissful Smile just picked her off at the end
and she's rated in the top three. This gal isn't totally out of her range tonight.
(6) WINDSUN COUNTESS has fooled us more than once in the past. She suddenly got good around the end of April and for the most part has been a steady
money maker. Jamieson was the first choice to drive. He turned her down as expected to stick with the Robinson team. Phil Hudon has driven previously. In
fact, he guided her to a win the last time he drove.
(7) NORTHERN DUCHESS won at this level on July 2. The competition tonight might be tougher overall than what she beat on that occasion. I thought she might
only get a small purse share.
(8) RACING STAR is soon going to be able to slide down into a lower category. Once that happens I'll be taking a very close look at her for use in the top spot in
the ratings. She'll be back in winning form very shortly.

Equipment changes: GO GET HER 6/25 remove blinkers RACING STAR 5/28 hopples 63 to 62 inches BLISSFUL SMILE 7/02 add blinkers

13th Race Selections 3-7-10-1 THE HORSEPLAYERS JOURNAL
3 WHYCANTIFORGET YOU might be good enough to make Ouellette the last driver to pose for the track photographer tonight. I looked at four or five different
options before I finally decided on the ratings that you see here. It would have been easy to rate the top four several different ways. I didn't see any that I thought
was a standout over the others. I'll hope that Luc has the horsepower to make it work. Luc has almost 8,250 wins to his credit and has driven the winners of more
than $128 million in purse money. That's not too shabby.
7 TOPAZ SEELSTER registered another runner-up result last week. She's been win shy this year with only a single victory to her credit. She's been hinting that
another one isn't far off. This could be the night for the number to double. We have an interesting driver line up in the race. It might get interesting. She'd be my
first alternate to my top selection.
10 ARDOR LOCKE plays the role of price booster. Her outside post position should be enough to keep the price in the upset/longshot range and since one of the
circuit's regular teamsters is not aboard that's another reason for some handicappers to take a pass. Watt has been given a high rating in the past under similar
circumstances. He doesn't do such a bad job when he has the horsepower. He usually gives them a chance to do their best.
1 VIRTUOUS WESTERN is a for sale item again. She competed with a claiming price earlier this year. Using that option prevents a move up the class ladder into
a spot where the competition might be too tough. She looked like the obvious choice to win last week and didn't disappoint. A double isn't out of the question.
She has to be considered.
THE FOLLOWING LISTED IN POST POSITION ORDER
(2) ZERERID LADY is going to give the major circuit another try. We haven't seen her for a while--not since the Woodbine meet. You might look at her if the price
is right for an upset play.
(4) FANCY A DREAM is being watched closely. I'm waiting for what I think is just the right night to try her in the win position. One start more or maybe two and
then I'll be taking a closer look.
(5) ST LADS TREASURE is inconsistent. She can race well one night and then not so good in the very next start and vice versa. Make the correct guess and you
can get a nice dividend. Her odds have been in double digits.
(6) FURIOUS FIVE is an unknown factor for me. I don't follow the Western Canada scene very much. She's put up good numbers this year. I might get fooled.
I'll take a look on Friday and consider an upgrade if I like what I see
(8) HAY BEAUTIFUL moves out of the lifetime condition category for this try. That change might work but I thought the older mares would be too tough for her in
this spot.
(9) ROSSRIDGE TRISTAR beat bottom level rivals twice prior to that not good result last time. Starting from post 9 might cause some problems if the flow of the
race doesn't help her off the pace style.

Equipment change: ARDOR LOCKE 6/18 shoeing: steel to alum (front) 6/11 shoeing: alum to steel (front).
