Stuffed shirt. These guys are all the fucking same! They all have the answers to the questions, until you ask for specifics. This guy is just like the rest of them. I think that is why I like Ron Paul and Alan Grayson....they actually speak their minds and don't regurgitate BS answers that don't answer anything.

Its the same fucking shit over and over again. The GOP gets in charge and corporations get richer and people get poorer. So then the Dems get in charge. Then corporations get richer and people get poorer. So then the GOP gets in charge.......

The cycle just continues. When are people going to wake the fuck up?

In the shadows
Well...

My opinion of these goons who have set up camp on the hill is well known.

Watching these Political Round Table Shows is like trying to shuffle cards with oven mitts on.

I don't recall who said it, Carlin maybe? It's like the WWE, they talk shit about each other in front of the camera, they wrestle, they pound each other, but at the end of the day, with no cameras on them, they drink the scotch on the rocks together and indulge in their wierd fetishes. ( I added the last part ) :scared

I like Grayson, I think he needs to dial his rhetoric down a notch or 3 or ....?

I was a fan of Krazy Kucinich, but when he sold out for a sack of beans. I vaguely remember when he got his start many moons ago when I lived in Ohio for a few years. Just based on my parents rants.

Gmroz,

You know as well as I do, I think... No matter how bad the shit sandwich tastes people, voters will still rationalize why it's better than what's in there now instead of choosing something completely different. Kind of like not recognizing the fact the dangers of aspartame, GMO foods and hig fructose corn syrup, just name a few.

I gotsa ask.... Are corporations just buildings or do people work there?

Do people invest in corporations (401K, mutual funds, individual stocks)?

A lot of rhetoric - corporations get rich, but people get poorer.

Not true - SOME people may not get as "rich" as others, since they don't work there or are not invested in said corporation.

But corporations are made up of a lot of people - many people that make a decent living from that corporation. It is not just the "evil" execs - who in my mind are just like a Jordan or LeBron, in that they are at the top of their profession and should get paid the best.

If it wasn't for the corporations, we'd all work for the government.

In fact, 50% of us do now, as the government takes almost half (or more) of our money now in taxes.....

Hurray for the corporations! Then we ALL get "rich"!

You missed the boat....again. The corporations act just like society. The people at the top make ridiculous amounts compared to the people at the bottom. The people running the show should make more, but the gap has gotten out of control.

You have to be kidding me. Why am I not surprised that the insurance guy comes out in support of more corporate welfare.

I am fine with corporations and people getting as uber-rich as they want. So long as not ONE SINGLE, SOLITARY special rule, bailout or treatment is given to them that wouldn't go to ME.

I despise situations wherein people use the mechanisms of capitalism to become obscenely rich while at the same time taking advantage of every 'socialist' deal they can get their hands on.

The deck is so stacked in their favor, because not only do they control large amounts of wealth, but they are also first in line for special deals when they need them, want them, or can influence a politician to give them something.

This is true of pretty much any industry in the US - food/oil/clothing/entertainment/sports - you name it, the people at the top of the industry make the most (probably due to their skillset?) compared to those at the bottom.....

But let's think of it positively - we all have a chance to be a CEO somewhere (if that's what we want to be) - we don't have have a chance to be LeBron James......

It is the land of opportunity! Anyone can be whatever they want to be, if they work hard enough, are smart enough, and catch some breaks along the way.

I'm not one to whine about what others make - I try to look at those people as ones that are the best at what they do....

Glass half full, I guess.

I just do not believe that a CEO deserves to make 300-500 times what some of their employees make. It has gotten out of hand.

That point alone should make you sick. Let alone the power the corporations have influencing our politicians against the shrinking middle class.

So, when the gap gets bigger (exponentially) and the people at and towards the bottom are worse off, you are cool with that? The situation has gotten out of control because the people at the top of corporations have bought and paid for your local representatives. Therefore, they can make the rules to benefit them and nobody can do shit about it. I guess from your perspective, the CEO's are just 10x smarter nowadays, so instead of earning 50x what their employees make, they deserve 500x. It's ridiculous.

Again, how is that different that being at the top of your profession in other areas?

Check what LeBron makes per year, compared to what the top player made 20 years ago. Do the same with Alex Rodriquez. Or top music stars - or top movies stars.

The top end in all industries has increased significantly. It's not just CEO's (which I know everyone if so focused on).

I don't hear many people bitching about how much money the Black Eyed Peas make.....

I don't begrude anyone what they make. Anyone in this country has a chance to do the same thing. Heck, look at Barack - came from a poor beginning and now he is president!

Please comparing Lebron and his god giving talents and then a CEO who eight out of ten of them had the right connections is a joke. These CEO's are a dime a dozen and like Gary says make up there own rules.. Lebron athletic ability is far greater than the bottom teir player or most others. Comparing the two is simply foolish.

I think you mean "God Given" talents....

Yes, you are right, it's like comparing a CEO to the guy who cuts the grass - quite a difference in education and background....

It's usually those who are most jealous, and those who lack the understanding of the talents these guys possess and how hard it is to get to these positions, that complain the most.
