If you recently downloaded the new update, I believe it is 4. something, then that is the reason. I have had multiple friends complain about problems after downloading the new update. I would call apple and ask them but this could very well be your problem... gl

I tried removing and reinstalling itunes - nothing has changed.
And removing all the programs associated with itunes and then reinstalled them all

yes and they had me do all things i had already done - then said you need to remove ituneas and all its programs and then reinstall.

It charges, the camera pulls up to download the new pictures and then gives me the line of apple mobile device...

1. Close iTunes and disconnect the iPhone.
2. Click the Windows Start button Start button.
3. In the Start Search field type Services.
4. In the Programs section of the search results, Click "Services".
5. Select Apple Mobile Device and click Stop the service.
6. After the service has stopped, click Start the service.
7. After the Apple Mobile Device service has started again, open iTunes and connect your phone. If this fixes things, make sure the AMDS is set to start automatically:

1. Close iTunes and disconnect the iPhone.
2. Click the Windows Start button Start button.
3. In the Start Search field type Services.
4. In the Programs section of the search results, click Services.
5. Right-click on Apple Mobile Device and click Properties in the shortcut menu.
6. Set the Startup type pop-up menu to Automatic and click OK:
7. Open iTunes and connect your phone.

With a mac, you shouldn't have a problem re-syncing - with a PC you might - just a warning.

This is the fanboyishness that I speak of... :nono:

Problem with an Apple product? It either has to be a user error or a PC issue.

Or when their stock price fell recently, it wasn't Apple's fault for having a glitch in the 4; it was Consumer Report's fault for not recommending it.

BTW, the motherboard on my 3Gs just fried two weeks ago. No real explanation (except that I have a PC, of course).

But I was freaking LOST without the thing, so I bought a used one with a cracked screen so I didn't have to update my contract. January can't get here fast enough!
