Bush was asked to sing for Metallica after Kill 'Em All because James Hetfield lacked confidence in his singing abilities and wanted to just play guitar. Bush turned them down in order to stay w/ Armored Saint.

I think he's still with Armored Saint, isn't he? I know he reunited w/ Anthrax for a few shows recently but they then went back to Belladonna for the Big Four concerts.

Bush sings for Armored Saint still, they recently released their 6th studio album, La Raza, he also sings for Anthrax, when they don't bring Joey Bell in.

The original members of Metallica, James, Dave, Ron and Lars wanted John to be their lead singer because James was too shy.

Bush has a grerat voice but I'm glad Hetfield stuck with it he was, is and always will be the best frontman for Metallica :0008

Now this is what I call a thread! I loved Anthrax back in the day. The Not Man was, pound for pound, one of the best mascots out there. Those were the good old days when Scott Ian still had hair. They were my second favorite band to Metallica.

I remember buying Cliff 'em All when I was about 14, and I watched it once or twice a week for 2 or 3 years straight. I still have that video, but of course it's VHS.

I can see it now...pick'en the kids up from school, the automatic side door slides open on the mini-van, and Steel Panthers - "I want pussy" blaring away. Muahahaha, that sounds like one way of gettin out of PTL meetings, lol.

I saw celtic frost, anthrax, megadeath at eagles ballroom back in the day. Every time I walk into a leather store and take a wiff, that night pops into my head...:0074 good times

Nice! Celtic Frost? Damn, there's some nostalgia. I have a lot of memories like that, too. I remember going to a Metallica concert at the Kingdome when I was a teenager with my cousin and one of his buddies. My cousin and I were Metallica fans, the other guy was just kind of along for the ride. He was actually a Poison fan of all things. :sadwave: Anyway, whenever I hear 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' all I can hear is that kid butchering the lyrics, screaming out 'For Whom the Bells Toll!" and trying to headbang with his curly, afro mullet.
