I would guess the US 10 000 dollar bill would go for around 100 grand now. I mean there can't be too many of those bills lying around:shrug:

If you had one of those in mint condition you'd get a lot of cash for it:scared

Anybody know what they are valued at now:shrug:

Also....I'd guess the 5000 dollar bill would be worth a ton of money now as well.

Anybody know:shrug:

The guys on PAWN STARS would purcahse both for 15 thousand:142smilie

Sadly...the odds of finding a Chipwich are the same of finding a ten thousand dollar bill:0047

For what it's worth......I have seen a US 1000 dollar bill at a casino in Tahoe in 2001. I was playing Baccarat and some dude pulled out two bills. I asked him if I could see it, he let me. Sadly I did not run away with itkurby

As for the Canadian 1000 dollar bill:

The printing of $1,000 bills ceased in 2000. The denomination was withdrawn on the advice of the Solicitor General and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), as it was often used for money laundering. The Bank of Canada has requested that financial institutions return $1,000 bills for destruction.

In 2000 I had two of em. Kept em for a week or so. Showed everybody I knew, I felt so cool:142smilie

Went to casino, and they were gone:facepalm:

A mint condition Canadian 1000 dollar bill will sell for around 1800-2000 dollars now. Not bad at all for a bill that is only ten years old. Just think, back in 2000 all you had to do is go to a bank and get a "crisp bill". Hold on to it for ten years, and double your money. Not a bad investment.

The US 10 000 dollar bill must be worth a ton of money:scared

I have two of the $500 bills. A 1928 and a 1934. I don't have a clue to their value though.

I thought $1,000 was the biggest bill we had?

As for Pawn Stars, they would offer $11,000 for the bills worth $15,000. And that would be stretching it, because they really have no idea what an item like that would go for and it may sit in the shop for 8 months before anyone buys it. But they will pay you in crisp $100 bills, so ya got that going for ya...

Here is one selling for 200K....any takers:shrug:

http://www.kdcurrency.com/product/view.php?productId=141

And........:wtf:

This 10K note has a wonderful pedigree being part of the famous "Bank One Hoard" uncovered in May 2001. After a routine internal audit of its branches, Bank One discovered five $10,000s, three $5,000s, 198 $1,000, 195 $500 Federal Reserve Notes. These notes were found during inventory of cash holdings prompted by the Y2K software bug.

Ya gotta love a bank "misplacing" all this money:facepalm:

I couldn't tell who that was on the $10K so I looked it up and it says Salmon P. Chase, Secretary of the Treasury. The name on the bill doesn't look like 'Chase' to me though.

It is Chase....

The face on the $10G bill belongs to Salmon P. Chase. Chase was a Darmouth grad (AD). He went on to be Lincoln's Secretary of Treasury, and, if you believe Gore Vidal in "Lincoln," he was a total a-hole and tried to sabatoge Lincoln's presidency for his own benefit. Eventually, his ambition and his inability to work with the rest of the cabinet led to his resignation from the cabinet in 1864. Apparently, he mended his relationship with Lincoln, because when Supreme Court Justice Robert Taney died later that year, Lincoln nominated Chase to take his position. Chase remained on the court until his death in 1873.

my great grandfather had 500s and 1000s when I was a kid, but I have no idea what ever became of them. There's a picture of me somewhere holding one as a toddler I think.

Well, yeah, but what's the name on the bill under the dude? Shouldn't it say 'Chase?' It sure as shinola doesn't look like it says Chase to me.
