The problem is I don't know what "muslim looking" means. Maybe we should make all Muslims who enter or live in the U.S. wear a big yellow "M".

Its a fine line. There are plenty of white muslims too as you are suggesting. My only point is that we need to be aware that most of the terrorists are muslim. If we ignore that fact, we are working against ourselves.

Speaking from experience, I worked for a major airline more than 20 years ago (admittedly in a small market), and at THAT time there was profiling being done regarding middle eastern descent. One way ticket, middle eastern appearance, etc. This is nothing new, and I honestly think there is value in profiling from a safety standpoint, especially on airlines and at the border.

It's a tough one for me Tramp. I know that profiling is part of the TSA's standard operating procedure. But it seems like we're becoming a nation of profilers. Arizona wants to profile hispanics, the TSA profiles people of Middle-Eastern descent, police and taxi drivers profile blacks... I just can't help wondering where it ends.

We need to be careful. As Benjamin Franklin said... "Those who sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither".
