Still not sure why the kicker was allowed to advance the pitch once it hit the ground.
Isn't that considered a fumble once it hits the ground?? I know if they run an option that a bad pitch=fumble so how is this different??
NCAA 4th Down rule: On fourth down before a change of team possession, when a Team
A fumble is caught or recovered by a Team A player other than the
fumbler, the ball is dead. If the catch or recovery is beyond the spot
of the fumble, the ball is returned to the spot of the fumble. If the
catch or recovery is behind the spot of the fumble, the ball remains
at the spot of the catch or recovery.
I thought that extra point he 'turned down' at the beginning of the 4th quarter might come back to bite him...but I'm thru doubting the man anymore...he's just a winner I guess.
This game was probably the best of the 2, but the Ky/Auburn wasn't bad either going down to the last play. Sad ending for me, but what more could fans ask for 2 late football games...:0002
Me too had Under 42 for game and figured there was no way they could duplicate the 1st half scoring and took Under 21 2nd half
Agreed. How many has he used up though? How did Meyer not see a fake coming? Helluva call. The man makes things interesting on the Bayou for sure.
