The people that dislike him see him as Homer Simpson vs. Frank Grimes.

He took over a job where they were nat'l champs and big name LSU so its not too difficult to get talent. He's a decent coach combined with talent and its usually a close game.

That's where the end of game coaching comes in and Les is TERRIBLE. He's a complete moron on several occasions and yet some bullshit always falls into place. A call in his favor...a no-call in his favor...a great catch with a second left that if not caught would have ended the game as a loss in FG Range.

Over and over he completely fucks up late game strategy in a laughable way....its like he's trying to lose the game on purpose...and yet he wins. I've never seen anything like it.

Its like you could blindfold him and tell him to just walk down a highway in rush hour traffic....he could walk for hours and nothing would happen, while cars ran into each other, etc.

So yeah, I'm not a big fan. He's a moron who can't lose despite every effort he's giving to lose.

Keep hating on the guy he keeps winning close games....I said few weeks back he had better numbers than Saban at LSU....he sure did look like a lot better coach than Saban today...guy gets bagged but his numbers speak for themselves... say what you want about him but the guy has balls and he wins

he's still an ass ! most don't have a problem with his coaching.. it's him ... he's a prick ...

:mj07: Silly commentary. Do I love Miles? No, but why should LSU be expected to go to the Swamp and blow out Florida? Holding the Gators to 243 yards and outgaining them by 150 yard is no easy feat imo.

2 national titles last 7 seasons, and playing 14 freshman regularly this year. I am damn proud of the team.

Still not sure it should have counted. If it isn't a forward pass it's a fumbled lateral. On 4 th down only the fumbler, in this case the holder, can advance the ball.

I know I've seen a QB throw a bounce pass to a WR that then turned and threw it down field. Would that fall under a different rule?

That is what I am saying.

For some reason this rule is just being ignored.
I guess it would have been hard for Les to pull off the win if they decided to play by the rules.

I am trying to figure this out through an official. Will post once I receive clarification

Anybody remember when we were bombing the hell out of Iraq and they blew up a bridge about one second before the guy peddled his bike across ?

He was labled "The luckiest man in Iraq" . Where was Les Miles that day?

I don't know the exact rule but I have to think a lateral is different than a fumble.

Could even be treated as a pass where the arm has to be going forward...so to speak, rather than just falling out.

The main intent of the rule is to not roll the ball to another player and/or gain an advantage off a fumble when your basically down.

Would have hated to see that called at that time. Just wish the ball had been going an inch further forward, but Les had a force field that wouldn't let it...

So what happens if the fake didn't work. LSU loses and didn't even have a shot at tying it up. I think the haters are still out there. You can't play russian roulette and always win. I heard someone call Les "functionally retarded", thought it fit perfectly.

I still look at the score and can't believe they went to the swamp and one that way...hell, or won...period....

NO WAY, anyone would have convinced me that LSU would have won that game...
