Major League Baseball has announced its umpiring crews for the 2010 American and National League Championship Series.
The NLCS is scheduled to begin Saturday, October 16 in Philadelphia, while the ALCS commences Friday in Arlington, Texas.
For the Giants-Phillies series, Derryl Cousins will serve as the crew chief. Cousins, a 32-year veteran umpire, will be working his 15th postseason series, including his seventh in the LCS. Cousins' crew will include regular-season crew chief Tom Hallion, Wally Bell, Ted Barrett, Jeff Nelson and Dan Iassogna.
In the Yankees-Rangers series, Gerry Davis, who is in his 27th year as a big league umpire, will be the crew chief of the ALCS. This will mark the 21st postseason series of his career, including his eighth LCS. His crew includes regular season crew chief Brian Gorman, Angel Hernandez, Fieldin Culbreth, Jim Reynolds and Tony Randazzo.
