Hey all,
I've been a long time reader and I started posting my picks this year on some message boards. Always looking for positive feedback and I figured why not get some from you guys. I capped the full NCAA card and NFL card and came out a little up for the weekend. The Washington game and the Broncos game both killed me on those 4th down penalties. Well, its the start of a new week. Hope you enjoy my thoughts and analysis on the game. BOL! :toast:

Tennessee vs. Jacksonville
No Sweat Rating: 4 - Jacksonville +3.0
No Sweat Rating: 1 - Under 44
Final Score Prediction: Jacksonville 21- Tennessee 20
When I first looked at the card last Sunday, I knew the Sunday night football game and the Monday night football game could be disastrous for the general public. While I really didn't like playing either side at all for the SNF game, I expected something dirty to happen. A lot of bettors feel that they "should have won" with the Colts last night. I'm sure those bettors, and possibly even some Skin backers, will load up on the Titans tonight. First off, the line has opened up at 3. During the week, the line moved up to Jacksonville +3.5. Since the end of the Sunday Night football game, this Jags line has dropped to 2.5 in some books. This decrease from 3.5 to 3 to 2.5 all overnight is eye opening. Though I stress that reverse line movement does not mean much in some spots, I believe it does mean a lot tonight. This is a prime time game. Titans are by far a much more "public" team than the Jaguars. With over 80 percent of the bets on Titans and even 70+ percent on the Titans ML, please take the other side. I'm almost begging you to either play the Jaguars today or make this a no play. Going with the public trends in big games is not a way to make money. Of course, the public does win a lot, just as sharps win a lot, but this is setting up to be a bloodbath tonight. I think this game will be a instant "teaser". The Titans will have ALL the opportunities to win this game, but will ultimately shoot themselves dead in the foot. I'm loading up 3 units on the Jags 1st half, 4 units on the game, and 2 units on the ML. If you want to read about statistics about Chris Johnson or Vince Young, it does not matter. The "obvious" play is usually never the "right" play. Good luck to all and I'll see all Jaguar backers at the cash register after the game. I'm a newbie here, so I'll be buying the first round for everyone here! :mj06:

Great first post. I like Jacksonville too. The reverse line movement is very telling and making me love the Jags even more. I'm loading up on Jax - big! :0074

"the bunker"
i wonder why somebody just doesn`t post the percentages from some of these sites that show who`s betting what?.....

then everybody can take the anti-consensus pick and we all make oodles of money over the course of the year....(if only it were that simple)......

g.l.,n.s....welcome to the board..always nice to see a write-up......:toast:

Jacksonville has started out very rusty. With the injury to Vince Young though, I don't see Tennessee really moving the ball at all in the 2nd half. Also, Trent Edwards looks like he provided the spark needed to get on the board in the 2nd half. With all public percentages and everyone on the Titans, I still think the Jags come back and cover the original spread of +3. A touchdown at the end of the 2nd would have been nice, but we are not out of this game yet. The Jags get the ball to start the 2nd half. Look for them to get some points off their first drive. I quoted in my earlier write up that this could be a huge blood bath on the Titans tonight. Sitting pretty up 17-0 at half is not always a sure bet. Especially when you are laying chalk on the road. Take the Jags at a (PicK) 2nd half, for 4 units. I'm still confident that the Jags will cover the initial spread.

Horrible, horrible finish to that game. Thought the 2nd half was going to hit on the 1nG. Ugh, sorry about that one guys. Clean sweep for the Titans today. Nice call Titans backers.
