This San Francisco Giant team is exactly who we
thought they were. Fantastic pitching with a well
below par offense that is averaging only 2.6 runs
per game in the playoffs. Unfortunately for them,
the Philly offense seemed to come alive late in game
2. This should only continue today in San Fran
in a situation that greatly favors the Phils.
The Giants were -$515 vs lefties at home during
the regular season and they face a lefty in Cole
Hamels who is pitching as well as anyone at this
point. Hamels gave up 1 run or less in 7 of his
last 10 regular season starts and pitched 9
shut out innings in his lone NLDS start. Also,
the Phillies were great against righties this season
posting a +$1290 mark. Matt Cain is great, but he
will not be able to stop this Phillies team today.

Anything can happen in baseball, but why get cute in this game. Rollins and howard both had big hits last game. The entire team has had offensive success thus far, which is all you can ask in the play-offs. So no one from the Phillies is pressing, they should be loose and ready to roll, the pressure is squarely on the Giants, who have had success limited to only a handful of players. This combines with the phillies post-season successes give them the clear advantage in this game. :SIB
