some times this actually helps, sometimes no effect, but usually not good. I've never been able to find any angles that help one determine which way sickness might affect them...
I was gonna make a nice bet on MN, but not sure now...
Wild call up Gillies

Good morning. With a few forwards uncertain to play tonight vs. Vancouver because of illness, the Wild has recalled Colton Gillies from AHL Houston. Gillies has scored a goal and an assist in four games, and this potentially could be Gillies' first NHL action since the 2008-09 season.
Gillies may not play if Matt Cullen and Martin Havlat show up this morning healthy and nobody else turns up sick. You can find out the lineup by following me on Twitter (www.twitter.com/russostrib).
Big game tonight. Does the Wild show up after the loud and clear Sunday message sent by Todd Richards?
"If we give Vancouver freedom to skate and move, they?ve got guys that can make plays," said Richards. "And it?ll end up being a long evening for us."
Richards though made clear that he challenged the players yesterday and now he expects a positive response against the Canucks.

I walked through the locker room today wearing a gas mask to stay healthy.....Yesterday it was Matt Cullen out sick. Today, it was still Cullen, but Nick Schultz and Martin Havlat also missed practice. Coach Todd Richards said some other players are feeling the effects of the same illness, so there is definitely a chance Richards shows up at the rink tomorrow and discovers two or three other guys are struck.
latest off of Russo's twitter page:
# Koivu not feeling well. Richards says he'd be "shocked" if he doesn't play. Kobasew left skate early sick. If both can't play, 7 D or callup less than a minute ago via ?berTwitter
# Mikko Koivu isn't on the ice. Who needs him? He is apparently in arena, so we'll see if something's up after skate. Everyone else out there 9 minutes ago via ?berTwitter
# Nick Schultz (ill) on the ice, too. I'll do full roll call when I get situated 12 minutes ago via ?berTwitter
# Havlat and Cullen (ill) are both on the ice. This could mean Gillies gets nothing but frequent flier miles unless Richards makes a change 13 minutes ago via ?berTwitter
