Dazed and Confused is one of the best comedies of all time. Ben Affleck's character is outstanding:toast: McConaughey's (sp?) too!

Some from-memory faves.
Randamnation categories (choosing conceived relevance).
No order, save for memoration.

2001: A Space Odyssey (sci-fi)
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (drama)
Chinatown (mystery)
The Maltese Falcon (mystery)
The Shawshank Redemption (drama)
The Godfather (esp.I & II; crime-drama)
Scarface (Pacino one; crime-drama)
The Deer Hunter (war)
Silence of the Lambs (psych-thriller/crime drama)
Cosmos (Carl Sagan; doc)
JFK (historical f(r)iction)
Dr. Strangelove (dark comedy)
A Clockwork Orange (psych-thiller/crime drama)
Wall Street (drama)
Brazil (sci-fi/comedy)
1984 (the 1984 version or pass; from the old Eric Blair, aka George Orwell, novel)
Psycho (original (totally) only; thriller from Hitchcock)
pretty much any Hitchcock film is (very) worth seeing, at least once
Seven (thriller/crime drama)
In Cold Blood (crime drama)
It's a Wonderful Life (drama)
A Science Odyssey (series; doc)
On the Waterfront (drama)
The Exorcist (the uncut only; horror)
Alien (sucker for all of 'em; horror)
Terminator (same; sci-fi)
Rosemary's Baby (thriller)
Repulsion (early Polanski and very well done; about as twisted as I can enjoy)
8 1/2 (I redact that last statement)
The Day the Earth Stood Still (original only; sci-fi)
12 Monkeys (sci-fi)
Reservoir Dogs (crime-drama)
Make a Wish (xxx)
about 666 (+/-13) others that I can't...ahh...what's that word?

my apologies for going over quota...think I stayed in-bounds on comedies...generally can't stand 'em (like a good stand-up, though)
