Illinois -22

Illinois is loaded. Great play maker in McCamey and hes surrounded by a great group of very skilled players. Illinois will dominate the front court with Tisdale and Davis. Irvine will have no answer down low.

Way too many options for Illinois who out class them by great margins at every position.

This one will be a slaughter.

As an Illinois fan, I agree with your assessment of the team. They will be right up there by the end of the year.

However....they really haven't played well at all in their 2 exhibition games. In fact, they were behind at half their first game, and ended up winning by only 10 and 9 at home, to Lewis University and Southern Indiana, both who are much worse than Irvine. They could easily lay the smackdown on Monday, and I hope they do, but they could just as easily be still trying to gel into a top team. With some top freshmen getting big minutes, it might take some time for this team.

All in all, I think this might be a no-play for me, but GO ILLINI either way!!!

I did see Illini struggled in their exhibition games, but Irvine was beat pretty bad by a NAIA 1 school in an exhibition. They are not a very good team and have a 1st year head coach.
