Received a Facebook post from a friend of mine today, and in the spirit of Veteran's Day, I realize there are so many brave women and men out there today protecting my right to live life the way I can choose. Thank you, and my prayers are with you all, even though I don't know you:

We are asking everyone to say a prayer for "Darkhorse" 3rd Battalion 5th Marines and their families. They are fighting it out in Afghanistan and have lost 9 Marines in 4 days.

I can't find the word(s) but it's ironic that the Marine BN is "Darkhorse" and I was in "Blackhorse" Company and "Black Knights" Platoon for Basic Training.
