I just gave up Tony Gonzalez, Wes Welker and Matt Schaub and got back Phil Rivers and Austin Collie.

This is a 12 team, 6pt per TD pass, 0.5pt per rec league.

I'm taking a gamble on Jacob Tamme being legit (I just picked him up and played him last week with Gonzo on a bye), but my other WRs are Andre Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald, with V-Jax waiting in the wings so I'm not losing much with Welker since we only start 2 WRs.

What do you guys think? Who got the better end of the deal?

Thanks for the input!

I think you would have been just as well off keeping the guys you had. Tamme is the TE waiver pick up of the year and Welker WILL get his.

Either way, I think you're ok, but I would have played the hand you drafted...

Where it is real F ing COLD
I like the trade as long as you got Tamme. tamme is going to put up good numbers.. You might lose this week without having a QB.. Who is your back up?

I don't think Welker or the Patriots are going to do shit.. OVER RATED!!!!

Schaub up and down. Rivers is the MAN!!!

I ended up playing Gerrard at QB this week with Rivers on a bye. What a week! That hail mary pass put it way out of reach by the time the early games were done and with Andre going off in the same game I ended up winning my matchup by 70 points. Yes, 70.
I don't think the acquisition of Rivers can be overstated in this trade. After this week, where Schaub had his last really good matchup of the season, I think he is barely startable. I'm happy to be rid of him and the inconsistent and unreliable Gonzalez. Yes, Welker had an okay game against Pittsburgh, but he still hasn't scored since week 2. I may have sold low on him, but I'm thankful to get any value at all out of him. Things just aren't the same offensively in NE despite what we saw sunday night.
