ECU-8.5 over Rice ***
Have to take the Pirates tomr since I will be there in Houston.Took a few days off from school since I have worked almost everyday since July 5th.Flew into Austin to see my,son daughter and grand daughter today.Went to Hills Cafe in South Austin and had chicken fried steak.wow....taking off early with my son to drive to Houston tomr am to see the ECU-Rice game...ECU is ranked 8th in the nation in passing. But ECU is giving up 41 pts a game on defense.Rice scored 49 pts last week and lost. There defense is a little worst then ECU's.So you have 2 of the worst defenses in the country going at each other. Will take the better offensive team to win by 10.The over is 72..but I'm passing on it.

North Texas -1.5 over UL Monroe ***
NT is on a roll.Won 3 of last 4...
Neb -2.5 over Texas AM **
Texas -21 over FAU **
Notre Dame -8.5 over Army ******
Taking a chance here with ND winning here.ND defense has allowed one TD in last 2 games vs Tulsa and Utah. Both those schools had good offenses.Think ND defense can slow down the Army rushing attack.Think Army defense will play tough for awhile but ND OL will dominate in the 4th qrt.Army secondary also will have problems stopping ND Floyd.

I play Rice over every week. Seriously.

Their last 38 conference games have gone over 30 times, or nearly 79%.

Their last 74 games, period, have gone over 56 times., or nearly 76%. I keep thinking the linesmakers will adjust, but many times they cannot make it high enough.
So I will milk it until Rice gets some speed on defense to counter their opponents, which may never happen.

And oh yeah, I will be in Houston, too. I live here. Enjoy your stay here!

Box,

I remember reading your posts when I was in Greenville. Dont you have some kind of connection to ECU?

I only stayed for a year but went to three football games. Loved it.

So you follow them?

Their new coach is a feel good story, coaching at his alma mater, right up the road from where he played high school ball.

Riley is a hell of a coordinator, but like you said the D is horrific. Thats Ruffins thing, right?

grandpa..you convinced me to take the over for a small play..that way I can cheer every time someone scores.

zeke..my son graduated there 2 yrs ago. He's meeting some of his buddies today.I'll sit with the Purple today. My daughter who lives here in Austin was recruited by Rice out of HS to play hoops. She came down for a visit. She said the campus is unreal like an Ivy League school. She ended up going to Texas where she couldn't play..she was a mid-major D-1 player...Army loved her and I knew the Army coach very well....But the Cadet life wasn't for her....and you had to be a greyhound to play at UT.Bonnies liked her to but she wanted warm weather...but their is hope...my grand daughter is in the 100% percentile for height...my daughter is 6'2 and her husband 6'4....they want to enroll her in the UT Music Lab for 2yrs olds...thats bs..I'' looking for pre-school basketball camps for under 3....this kid has big hands, big feet and a crazy grandfather.
GL to everyone today...my heart is with Army today but my monopoly money is on the Irish...

Yeah.. hard to pass on the over, even if it is 73. ECU's defense is just horrible. I know they lost 9 out of 11 players, but still......

Box and One. I remember you posting on here years ago about attending ECU games. I have been to 2 this year and going next week to the SMU game.

Best of luck today. Glad someone will be there pulling the Pirates!!!!

Brian...I did go to about 2 or 3 ECU games in Greenville.Got to see Chris Johnson play...
Raymond....I know those numbers....but I'm believing Kelly has figured out some blocking schemes after Navy made them look so bad.It would be great if Army upset them...but not today....hopefully
