alabama vs lsu for the bcs title game

or if they ever go to an 8 team playoff they should just take the top 8 from the sec!

LOL..yes top 8 in SEC and have a playoff.....LMAO....I think a 4 loss S. Car should play LSU for the title....

It will be Boise but neither deserves it. I am no SEc apologist but neither of them would get through that conference with as few as 2-3 losses.

An bound enough of the whining about Utah. They cancelled a series w Texas for the same year you think they got shafted. The reason they gave Texas : "we don't want to risk losing a BCS game bid by playi g a game we probably lose."

just a month ago Boise turned down offers form Nebraska and Texas. The "we will play anyone anywhere" is pure fiction.

If i heard correctly they turned down Nebraska because Nebraska wanted the first 2 games at home and then Neb may jusy buy out the game at Boise..This happened to Boise but i forget who the team was off hand and they wont let that happen again....Boise dont have a prob playing anyone but at least give them the middle game at there place.....

Not true. Texas offered a middle game in .boise but preferred it be in Denver so people could actually go to a real stadium. Regardless, play anywhere anytime doesn't mean negotiate where and worry about the third game of the series.

How many years in a row to Florida State plY at Nebraska and LSu and Ohio State? Bowden knew what he had to d to prove his program deserved it, and it paid off.

Sun I think almost every school thinks like this. How many teams actually play a team that can beat them in the preseason. I dont see many of the top tier teams playing very man tough preseason games. Why would you? Boise and Tcu still make tons of money if they go to a BCS game. It is smart for them not to play anybody. Even if they did play a few tough preseason games they still would not get in because of the weak leagues they are in. Va Tech was stupid if they didnt play Boise they would be undefeated right now and probably playing for a national championship.

I have no idea about how it played out with Texas.....If thats true why would they want Boise to have there home gane in another state???? Plsy them on the blue field if you have any balls.....I get so sick of these bigtime programs thinking there all gods andcan call the shots in this...Heck Wisconsin play AT fresno and UNLV.....Boise is willing to play 2 at your place the least they can do is play them once at there house. College football is a great sport but it has so many flaws. Could be so much better.....

Because if a big school is going to play a game like that they want fans to be be to go to the game, especially witth e revenue lost. Texas didn't insist on it but wanted it to be a trip the fans could make.

And no Boise wasnt willing to play two in Austin - they turned the deal down. Boise wants one solid opponent a year, and only if it's the first game of the season so they have all summer to prepare and don't have to worry about depth.

Thats my whole point - Boises mantra is a fraud.

who cares what their mantra is

the scheduled 2 bcs teams in the ooc schedule....something most bcs teams dont do, heck sec teams rarely schedule 1 ooc bcs team and never on the road

in the end, if auburn or ore lose boise should be next in line to play for the title...no matter what their record "might" be in a bcs conference.

True sun but if I were any top school no way would I schedule Boise or Tcu the risk is not worth the reward. We could argue Va Tech lost to JMU but that would have never happened if they had not played Boise. But I do agree the whining is a joke. Tcu and Boise can talk all they want but why would any big school want to play them the risk is not worth the reward. But I agree the whining is irritating. Hard to whine when you come from a creampuff conference and beating up on cream puffs.

We open up with Oregon next year and we played North Carolina to open up this year who was a Top 15 team at the time.

Huh gjn nice focus on ooc as if that matters in this discussion - you may have noticed these BCS schools play 8 or 9 BCS teams every year. Compared to two, and you think that favors Boise? A team like Bama plays Auburn, Penn State, LSU, Arkansas, Florida, So Carolina, and you praise Boise for their scheduling?

Does anyone honestly think BMa wouldnt be destroying Boises and TCU right now?

And yea what they would have down does matter if the goal is to reward the best and most deserving teams. Rewarding Boise will make teams schedule even weaker, not stronger.

sure it matters.....if boise and tcu schedule 4 creampuffs in the ooc (like most bcs schools outside the pac-10 do) then their argument to be in the title game is extremely weak.

would tcu/boise be getting wacked today vs bama....the way bama is playing, yes...but who cares?

i'll take vegas word on it....they make boise a small fav vs auburn or oregon and tcu a pick and slight dog...so the argument that they're not in the same class doesnt hold much water.
