I reside in Lancaster Pa which is a little over an hour away from Philly. I am not a birds fan either. I prefer to head west 3.5 hours on the PA Turnpike to Heinz field, and not east. With that said- I can not get over how many Eagles fans around here think that Philly will win but not cover the 9 point spread.

I guess a lot has to do with last week and how bad the Birds looked in the windy city? Maybe they are starting to think that Vick is going to start playing a little more human like? Philly fans have a way of getting down real quick after a loss. I am a Phillies fan in baseball, so I speak from experience.

So you combine the Eagles performance last week with the Texans show against the Titans and that equals a load of doubt in everyones mind. We must remember though that the Texans D is not the same on the road as the Bears D in Chicago. And even though the weather is going to be a little chilly for a night game in the city of brotherly love, Vick should be fine as he aint no Rusty Smith!

Home field should help the birds out as well. The Nuts are probably pouring into the parking lots right now as I write this post. Most of them will be good and juiced up by kickoff! And I have always heard that it is tougher on the road team when playing on a short week. Especially if they fall behind early.

I guess what I am saying is that I will take the Birds for my usual small weeknight play.

Eagles- 34 Texans- 23

Good Luck to Everybody with whatever you play.

I think the athleticism of the Bears DLine helped along with the fact that more and more tendencies and tape is becoming available on Vick in this offense. Thing to look for to me would be how Mario Williams and company is used in relation to bracketing Vick, as well as the Texans giving Vick MULTIPLE looks to dissect, not allowing him to read the defense from a pre-snap look...so far the athletic defenses have given the Eagles problems...notice I didnt say losses, but problems. BoL its a short week...so I'll be interested to see how Reid has prepared them following the loss as well.

Speaking of Southern Lancaster- I was born and raised in downtown Pequea. I am now right outside of Millersville.

I agree E-Boozer that it is good to be a lil lucky at times. Some of the Defenses in the NFL will make a QB look like he just shit himself when he is confused or scared. Even the great Matt Shaub. There were several plays besides that awful pick where he just did not look like himself.

There are three ways to do things- The right way, the wrong way, and the Pequea.

Thanks all, G-Juice
