Iona -9 over Canisius ****
Glover and Machado are the two best players on the floor and they are both playing at home.Machado can control a game and Glover is avg 17 pts a game.. they also have Smth who hit 8 3 pointers vs Albany..Iona lost a tough game to Richmond in OT. Griffs are doing ok getting a lot of people back from last yr but they are still finding their way w/o pt gd Turner who ran this team the last 4 yrs.Belardo took his place and has a lot of To's.Iona can score and Griffs defense will have problems with stops...last 2 yrs Griffs lost @ Iona by 20 and 11..same should happen tonite.

Niagara -5 over Marist **
Small play because Purple is missing their top scorer and are very young.Foxes have the longest losing streak in the country.Think Nelson is one of the top gds in MAAC and should carry the Purple in a rd win and cover.

UAB +4.5 over Georgia **
This is not Manhattan college.UAB can score and play defense.
Eastern Mich -4.5 over Monmouth ***
EM has big time scorer and rebounder in Bowdry..he will be tough for Monmouth to stop

Iona -9 over Canisius ****
that was the line this am...now its -10....

good luck box.

not playing anything tonight but like UAB. would grab them in the 1st half. Trey Thompkins is one of the best players in the country and UAB solved him last year. also always like the team whos better from the line in what figures to be a tight game. only worry would be UABs 3rd game tonight since monday and a lot of traveling. away, home, away. Think they should be right there or winning at halftime though.

good luck!

Box, looks like we were typing at the same time with the same thoughts on the Maac tonite. In gthe past that has been money in the bank, when we both feel strong ona maac side. I like Iona for the first half minus 6... Like some of things MAchado has said about conference home games, leads me to believe hewill press to get out fast.

Good luck my man

airportis....that was the one thing I was worried about. Not a big play..I'm not a big Mike Davis fan.I do like Mark Fox...though GL tonite.
Clem...glad your on the Gaels..these guys can win the MAAC... If Rodriguez can control the inside game these guys will be tough...Willard stressed tough defense and now that he is at the Hall Cluess comes in to coach...this guy loves playing uptempo and attacking. He was a big winner at CW Post and we all knew someday he would get a D-1 job....Willard left the cupboard loaded with everyone back...the key question with Iona is will they be better off playing uptempo and less defense....its a new system and sometimes it takes awhile..but I think Machado will love this style...this same team beat the Griffs by 20 last yr and like I said before...Turner is gone and he controlled the ball about 75% of the time...

Tigr..thanks
Bohawk....when does the snowbird start its annual trek down south....Florida right...not Padre....
