ky has edge at point guard and maybe small forward. zeller should have his way in the middle. henson and jones will be an intriguing matchup as neither can guard the other player. i do think unc's depth and the home crowd will make a difference. kentucky is very talented but those freshman will not win in chapel hill saturday. thinking of 2 large plays- unc minus the points and 3 team money line parlay with unc and auburn and the sooners in football.

longtime grad of UNC...can't recall us ever being this bad at the point (King Rice does come to mind)...strickland and drew don't create anything and look clueless. I believe this is partly why Barnes can't get going...he is feeling like he must do too much...unlike the situation in Durham... Irving is maybe the best PG in he country..hope he is one and done...great supporting cast helps..let's the game come to him..doesn't have to force it...we'll get better as we've lost 12 players over last 2 years. We will be a good team in time, not one of our best however.

I will never forget the recruiting mags saying King Rice was one of the few pg's who was capable of jumping straight from HS to NBA. They missed slightly on that one.

Recruiting is more of an exact science these days with all the camps and AAU teams. Still not always perfect though. Drew has been a disappointment and last years vaunted recruting class has been subpar. Reminds me a bit of Guthridge's class with Boone, Morrison, et al.

Losing players after 1-2 years puts even more pressure on recruiting and having a subpar group can set a team back a couple of years. Imagine the UNC team a few years back if Hansbough had come in as a Frosh and played like one of the Wear twins.

Barnes and Bullock are going to be very good but this year will be another struggle.

Right about him getting into Hurley's grill. As I recall he was quite a tailback in HS in New York. His range was so limited and not a particularly good dribbler:scared

Think pace will be there not sure if either team will shoot well enough to get there. Slight lean over.

refs seemed to not like kentucky in this game. amazing how zeller got away with 7 fouls and henson is out of bounds passing the ball in to teammate. i did win a heck of a lot of units so i am happy.
