Have not heard this name yet, but what about Brian Schottenheimer... former Florida Backup QB and already turned down the Bills job. I know it's a reach, but he's capable IMHO and having Marty as your father doesn't hurt. Marty was always a winner:toast:
Stoops was in KC last night making sure he signed Boehm from Lee's Summit West HS. Kid is 6-4 and 305 as a 16 year old Junior and just started playing football, but is a freak. He's a pancake monster with a bad attitude according to the papers. His team won State. Guess Beohm is the best lineman to come out of the Midwest from what one of my friends who is a scout says. Going to see one of his games next year to see what the fuss is about, but Stoops was having drinks with my buddies and had the whole OU staff in town making sure this kid is a Soooner.
I doubt Stoops takes the job, but it's possible. My guess is he stays at OU and continues to underachieves in bowl games.

He's also in the middle of building a huge multimillion dollar mansion right now. People don't start projects like that if they are iffy on staying where they are. But an SEC job is opening up so he has to take it right?

Last big win in a BCS bowl that OU had? Washington State??? like 8 years ago? I guess OU is another fan base that lives in the past. Maybe Stoops wants to coach and recruit against more than One school per year.
You need to know what you're talking about before you type something. Let me educate you, Oklahoma also won championships in the 80's and 00's. They also hold the longest unbeaten streak in the nation at 47 games. I really don't see how being a program that is consistently in the top 5 in the nation is living in the past. Guess you can check that "source" off the list. :mj07: Now for Muschamp to be a HC at Florida, that is a step up the ladder. Not for Stoops though.
I personally see both the florida and miami hires as very MEH. Easily could have done better in both cases. Muschamp's OC hire will be the deciding factor of his success there. Miami is just... upset or disappointed probably. but hey we were scratching our heads about Chizik two years ago... maybe Miami boosters just said Hire a yes man and we'll take care of the rest fellas :toast: :toast:
Hearing Muschamp might be bringing Major as his OC. Texas better make some moves that are big are they are going to lose this big recruiting class they have.

First of all, why do you think I'm an Oklahoma fan? I do live in Oklahoma and therefore know most everything about Oklahoma St., Oklahoma, and Tulsa. Just thought that I would let you know that any rumor of Bob Stoops leaving Oklahoma is exactly that, just a rumor. I knew that you wouldn't know that his kids are happy in the Norman school system and that he expessed that he would never pull them out, and that he is in the middle of building a huge new home. I was passing that along to you so you can see that I don't have a "source" just trying to spread a rumor, but hard facts instead. As far as the immaturity comment, it was based strictly on the "stay classy" line. Trying to act like you're of a higher class than I, shows your immaturity.
